As stated in your other thread about this...Its a serial data cluster. There are no wires to pull. You can desolder what you don't want or cut the traces with an x-acto knife. Or put in a custom cluster with only what you want.

There are around 20 wires that go to the cluster.
I don't think I need all of the wires.

Thanks again, WhiteBird00.
I'll see what I can do with this.

WhiteBird00, finally finished wiring up the cluster. I have eliminated all the wires I didn't need. There are two wires, that I'm not sure about. B1 - BROWN - Park Lamp Feed and
B5 - PURPLE/WHITE - Fused Ignition Feed.
I have put 12 volts on each wire, but I don't see anything lighting up on the cluster.
The BROWN, made joints with several other brown wires. I'm thinking it's part of the lights.
The PURPLE/WHITE wire, I don't remember where it goes.
Can you tell me what these two wires are suppose to do?
Thanks George

The purple/white wire in B5 is hot only in the START position of the ignition switch. It is used as a crank indicator for the instrument cluster to turn off certain functions and indicators while the starter is cranking. You can find it in position C5 of the 48-pin connector at the firewall between the left kick panel and the steering column. Be careful to get the right connection because position C4 right next to it also has a purple/white wire. The row is red, red, light green, purple/white, purple/white, brown and you want the second purple/white.

The brown wire is a simple on/off voltage signal for the parking or headlights on. It is not the variable dimmer power used to illuminate the gauges but rather a simple toggle to control certain functions of the cluster when the lights are on. You can connect it to any one of the brown wires that do the same thing throughout the car.
