Yeah those tweeter pods look like crap, sorry.

What I did with my SS was install them towards the windshield (well, had them installed) by drilling a hole in the windshield pillars. They sounded good and looked very good.

Could also mount them in the door, just would have to be custom and not sure how it would look. Nice thing about Firebirds is they have it setup for tweeters already.

Mine sounds good with the tweeters here in the doors.

Jesus, those are the 6LE Pods?? I was just about to go that route but I'm thinking I'm gonna have to reconsider... Very nice system though besides those, looks clean.

Thanks.
no i don't have any pics of that. i mounted two pieces of 2x4 to the body of the car then laid the carpet back down then ran all the wires accordingly then screwed it down in place.

I been waiting a month for my pods. I'm going to use the piece of foam that's there and then mount them lower to the door by drilling a new hole. I think this will greatly improve the appearance. I love the concept and effort by him to make these. Some aftermarket things require modification, handy work, and a good eye. You cant slap something custom on and expect it to look perfect. I'll post pictures when I get them.

I used to have this style tweeter pod from Kevin (SShevy). I am almost positive you have these mounted on the wrong sides. The tweeters should be facing up and the bulk of the pod should be covering that lower gap.

that is definitely not mounted as designed. I installed mine today and they are flush with my door panel leaving not visible bolts or gap.

First thing that came to mind when I saw that pic was "backwards."

I just ordered a set of those pods, hopefully they come sooner rather than later. The stock stuff in my 99 is half blown and sounds craptastic.
