Default 6.5 Kicker subs installed

Replaced the stock 6.5s with some Kicker 6.5s shallow mount 2ohm speakers....... Cleaner bass but not the "wow" I felt from the door swap to infinity. I almost think the stock speaker's bass carried more..... Oh well..... If I ever bypass the Monsoon amp and install an aftermarket for the subs, then I got it covered.

They are probably less efficient than the stockers, though better quality.

For sale (kicker subs) in the parts forum.... Going in another direction.

@LS1SSZ28-The Infinitys are the Reference series that are 2ohm. Pictured below

You have these in a Camaro correct?

If so, how is the sound over stock? and how was the install?

Did you get the standard depth or shallow mount speakers?

I have kickers all around and it was night and day difference when I did the swap. Couldn't be happier. Then I eventually went with two 12" kicker solo-baric L7s ran off a kicker zx 1500.1

The kickers have a harder hit! and just in general produce a better sound over the stock subs, I have also noticed since i have upgraded my stereo allowing me to play higher volumes without distortion the kickers shine under low or high volumes and are clear and smooth

Hope you went with another brand for your sails....... I still have my Kickers and I could have saved you some money.

Congrats on your purchases.... I went with the Kicker 4" 3 ways in the hatch area. Whoever says you cannot hear them and they are just fill speakers need to upgrade them. HUGE difference with them in there.

I can hear my rear just fine. With the sails I went with CDT subs just because I can use the dual voice coils but how come alot of people never think of bridging the amp wires? if you get the same wires from one side to match the other side you double the power easily. The monsoon amp is just like any other amp. the only difference in the sails are that it uses front and rear frequencies so if you get the wires that are for the front and the wires that are for the rear you can join the fronts together and rears together and make more power just incase you want to make those kicker subs sound a little louder.

ps if you see grammatical errors....I am sorry lol
