Default 4th Gen FBody Backup Camera Location Pics

Looking for pics of the keyhole install (installed location and a picture of the video that this location provides).

Apparently people have done it but I can't manage to find any pics of it...a lot of talk, but no "evidence"

Not a keyhole, but I installed mine below the rear bumper. I'll get a pic tomorrow.

That is creative but more chances of getting it exposed to elements. Also Amazon has a lot of rear plate mount reverse cameras.

First of all, Thank you for posting. That's interesting, can you get a pic of the display (so we can see what view the camera gives)?

I'm debating on what to do with my upcoming install, I'm thinking something either next to the license plate light or replacing the license plate light with one that has a camera built-in. Essentially modifying a stock rearview camera for another vehicle to fit the Camaro. This is a Chevy Cruz Camera:

i put my camera on a bracket next to the plate lamp. I put the screen in where I took out the "storage bin" underneath my hvac unit. screen is low but it looks like a factory install almost.

i think making that Chevy Cruz Camera setup is the ideal route to keep things looking stock. keep us updated with what you do. this has been on my to do list for years

This is how mine looks too. My car is in storage in a different state so I can't take pics.

However, I still have the license plate light in the same place, but I replaced it with a sealed LED side marker from a truck. Basically, one if these tucked up into the recess where the stock housing was. My original housing was broken and had bad electrical connection from someone bumping me. The bolt holes didn't line up perfectly, but were close enough. You can't see it mounted anyway. The body of the marker is fully in the bumper above the license plate.

Mine was a license plate bracket install, finally bothered me enough to do something about it. Relocated it to the key hole in about an hour.

I've almost done a complete overhaul on stereo, alarm, and remote start last couple weeks. Here is my camera, has ir sensors on the sides. I got it off amazon. I was thinking of somehow mounting it up higher by the third brake light to get a better downward view of backing up.

I just used the license plate mount style, the bracket goes behind the plate, so its nearly invisible.
