Default My stereo system!

well i just got a decibil meter from my dads shop and i measuerd how loud i thump today, it came out to 132 Db constant.
I did away with the stock system, and i re-ran all the speakers and tossed out the monsoon crap. i went with alpine components and a visonik amp, which i got for cheap and phoenix gold sub wich i got at the swap shop, I made my box myself so it would fit, took a little while but it came out good, i think its around a 1.3cu.ft sealed box. anyway at 130+db everything sounds good, no distortiuon or anything bad, its a nice setup, alpine, and phonix gold and visonik did a good job.
my friend has a milennia with 2 12w3d2 JL's withe a 1000 watt JBL mono amp (or something like that) in a 1.3cu. ft. slot ported box, and i think my system thumps just as hard as his. and when we measuered his it only came out to 131dB
well anyway anyopne else got some good setups pounding out those dbs??

I pulled a 155.1 off the dash in IASCA db drag racing. That was in 99 too One of the cars I competed against was a s-10 with a camper that had 16-12s in a dimond shape . He asked me how I did it with only 4-15s but I did not tell anyone at the time. Its easy to do, just do sine sweeps in your car with several different subs in several different places to find the resonant frequency of your car. Once you find out that frequency, find a sub that will resonate the best at that frequency and build a ported box tuned for that freq. Provide your subs with PLENTY of power and use plenty of dynamat on the car and you can win several trophies

I sold the car and bought a SS...now im into going fast

NA$TY-TA, I notice your location says Texas.... you haven't by chance spent any time in Hawaii have you? We have a nice shop here call Mobile Car Audio (on your windshield) on Kam Highway. Got a guy there with a green T/A..... and holy crap... now that I think about it.... his subs are setup exactly the same as yours. That is totally you, isin't it? HAHAHAHAHA! And I just remembered you telling me about removing your airbag for the headunit and moving the A/C cluster into the glove box!! HAHAHAHA! Busted man! I found you! Kyle... Kyle.... don't remember the name though...?
