what alarm-system?
once i finally finish a "system", i want to overhaul the shitty stock alarm system.
i cant seem to find anything online that i'm looking for, mainly because i dont know what exactly to search for. i want it to be a GOOD alarm, sensative, etc. and lock/unlock the doors ofcourse, also the hatch release is important.
the one i want, an ex gf had...it had the remotes that would alarm you when your alarm was going off, and alot of other ****.
what are you using? any suggestions/advice would be great.

I would go with Viper and have it installed by Best Buy or Circuit city, their warranties on install and etc.. are totally worth it. The viper alarm has a visable display of where your car is being broke into etc... For instance is something his the hood it will show up as a hood hit or whatever and its range is good for over 1 mile. So if you park at one end of the mall and your at the other one you will still know if somebody is FN with your car.

i think viper is probably the one i'm thinking of, especially if their the only ones with the screens on the remotes that show everything like you said.
do you have it? how do you like it? does it do all the unlock/lock/hatch release crap?

Just make sure that you get DEI.
That would be viper, python, valet, etc.
you CAN NOT go wrong with them.
Also be careful i work (installation) at circuit city...some of those guys can do a number make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing...but for whatever it is worth we are insured and no matter what you win in the end!

I use the python in my vehicles, but just make sure you have two way paging! Keep a bat handy when your remote goes off... j/k but any of the above will make you happy.

best system for the money is the audiovox 996. everybody thinks audiovox and gets scared but believe it or not audiovox is up there with dei. ive installed thousands of dei and audiovox units but the aud unit is more reliable. I had an 881 in my rx8 had to replace the remote all the time and put a new battery in it every month. Never had any probs with the aud. One of the installers i worked with was doing an 881 and i was doing a 996 and for ***** and giggles we went for a walk to see which unit had the best range. The 881 fell out way before the 996. Everybody has there opinion though
