Default i f***ed-up.. power locks electrical prob

i decided to paint the trim door pieces today so i started to take them off..when i got to the point where you have to disconnect the plug for lack of a better word..from the back of the power locks,it was really tight on there that i used a flat head screw driver and bang sparks start flying every where.. i accidently touched one od the metal pieces that connects to the buttons...now my lock button wont work manualy ...the unlock one works fine ...any ideas in to how i can fix this???? drivers side wont work either..but my remote does work though..

Can you clarify this more?

When you say that it will unlock but not lock, this makes me think the contacts in the switch are completely gone. To check this you will need to check continuity (closed circuit) for the lock switch, their are 2 pins you need to find, which one they are I do not know, one of pins is the power and the other is pin that feeds lock actuator. With putton push down you should have continuity across the switch, if no continuity replace the switch.

i checked the fuses today..they're all good, but i did noticed that when my door is shut the manual lock will work...i cant remeber if its like this from the factory, to where you need to have the door shut in order for the manual lock button to work..any how when the door is open like stated wont work..when i do press it the beepin noise that you get when a door is open changes to a faster beep.

???

If it will not function from the passenger side either then replace the drivers side switch.
