the red one goes on the dimmer wire, usually its orange and the black goes to the ground. Pretty simple.

so it is already assembled? It does not look like any light will shine through.

I just tried to install mine today and I was not able to use the dimmer wire. I think I am going to just hook it to the head light switch.

dimmer is the best because when you dim the interior lights it will dim also.

I'd rather use an on/off/on switch.
First Power Input ----- Dimmer (borrow from wire going to radio)
Second Power Input -- Ignition Switched (RAP) 12v (borrow from wire going to radio)
Output --------------- HUMount

So it comes assembled? I unscrewed the four screws holding the aluminum faceplate on the white plastic but there was really nothing under it, just plastic. There was also a black bar under the "camaro z28" laser cut part. I dont understand how any light will shine through?

Looks like you have the LED bar version. I have the mini lamp version so it looks a little different. Did you try emailing the guy? If anything you might have to remove the strip. I would hook it up to the dimmer so it will come on when you turn your lights on. One thing you could do to see if there is any light output is get a 9V battery and connect the battery to the proper wires. This will let you know if you have light shining or not.

I did the 9v thing and nothing. I emailed the company two days ago and still no response. We'll see.
