This article's a comparison between the lightning and the srt10 ram if anyone's interested.

Again I don't know what mag they pulled this info from, but they only got a 14.2@98.5 out of the Lightning, and the 500 horse Ram only managed a 13.8@ 104.2. I swear they must be letting their grandmothers drive these things.

Wow, they really shoot down the fast trucks in that link...Hopeless trucks were one of the words being used...
It kinda makes sense though when you think about it, it's like why build a heavy pick up truck that goes fast..Usually slow geared and torquey is the winning combination for workable pickup trucks... Still hopeless is a strong word

well someone asked my input on this so i will say what i have experienced. i have a k&N cold air intake, cat back exhaust and hp tuners tune, and i run 13.30@106 with a 2.2 60'
i deleted most of my torque management and firmed up the shifts. according to my dash-hawk i rip off 0-60 in 4.6 time after time. but thats on an empty tank with good asphalt, and nice cold weather. in the summer and with some gas in the tank its usually a 5 flat 0-60. i have raced a few srt8 cherokees and its a very good run. i usually hold them off till around 90 or so where the trans shifts to 3rd and they roll right past me. now if the wifey would let me put a small shot of juice that might change but she said theres no chance of that so oh well.

i will say the 2.2 60' was when i was still learning how to launch it, mines 2wd and when i try to brake torque it anything over 1400 or so it will light the tires up and straight stomping it will get about a 5' squeal but seems to be the best way i've found to get it moving and seeing 4.6 0-60 seems to prove that.

So a 2008 SS trailblazer with a KN filter, exhaust mods and tune can hold off a new SRT stock Cherokee 0-90mph???...That sounds possible to me... That's kinda wild to think your diving in a big *** SUV, hit the gas and hang with most street rods... Sounds fun to me and multi purpose...
I laugh when SUV's try and race me...Had a newer supercharged Escalade race me and it was too heavy to hang. Stopped down the road and the guy said it was supercharged aftermarket...I said you suprised me.. I told him that was biggest, heaviest, fastest truck I have ever seen....It did have ***** though and was right with me almost....
I would love to go heads up against the SRT's, Cyclones, Lightenings, and Cayanne's... I just never take them that serious... Maybe I should..

the TBSS is really built for launching in my opinion, 4.10 gears stock, 9.5 -14 bolt rear. the 4l70e is somewhat ok. people are having problems with them stock or modded. but I'm not.

well, its a cold air intake not just the filter, K&N claims something like 19hp from the CAI, whether that's true or not i don't know, but it sure felt and sounded nice when i installed it. and the exhaust just looked like it had to do something the stock muffler was enormous and WAAAAY to quiet, it had NO growl what-so-ever.

Oh yeah I went and I tell you the air was terrible, very thick and humid. Everytime I went to make a pass my window was fogged up bad. Anyway the guy that won the class I was in ran a 7.9 something. So needless to say I did not win my class. They had 3 tire classes, street, drag radial and slick which was the unlimited class that I got stuck in because I run a Hoosier QT PRO on my truck. Very unusal event for sure. Whoever ran the best ET in their class won it.
