well i had come to a red light and was turning right but i noticed a yellow gto coming up from the left so i waitedand timed it so that by the time i pulled out and matched speed we were beside each other. i just paced him a little bit and glanced over a few times. he was grinning obviously knowing what i wanted. well i revved a few times and on my last rev he nailed it and got a half car jump on me and i was dissapointed because from the front he had the scoops making me think he was the 6.0 but when he jumped i saw it said 5.7 on the rear, well once i floored the gas i just walked right on by him and stayed in it till i had a 3-4 car lead then slowed down and he came rolling up and roled down his window and said " lets go again". so i honked it off this time to be a little more fair to both of us. we were rolling about 45, on threee i nailed it spun in 2nd lifted once it grabbed i finished 2nd hit 3rd finished that and he was 3 or so cars back. he must have been an auto or something because i was very disappointed in his performance.

 

don't be dissapointed. automatic ls1 gto's aren't that fast when stock or close to stock.

Yeah, I have a buddy here who has an ls1 goat a4 with cai and exhaust and it's got some quickness, but not f-body quick. Good kill.

yeah those 5.7 GTOs are dogs there so heavy but still a good kill

no i was in my z28, but i came very very close to buying a GTO, was comparing them to the 02 camaro's and once i saw the camaro's were cheaper and faster the choice was clear, and this just made me feel better about my decision.

and i dont know his mods, my exhaust is insanly loud so i didnt hear anything but my car. and i turned around after our last run because i had gone way past my turn. but for your benefit i wont post anymore stock or close to stock kills

Good kill, but they are right, a stock LS1 GTO stands no chance against an 11 second car, no reason to be disappointed in his performance.
