yeah man just the tune...

car went 13.0x @ 106/7 and had like 100 lbs of un-needed gas in it (3/4 tank), figure with a 1/4 tank it would be good for a 12.9x @ ~108 pass. i smashed my rear bumper when the car lost it on a patch of ice...nothin bad, but insurance $$$ to do a custom corsa catback will be nice (custom x-pipe to dual corsa blacks to 3" maybe 3.5" tips). also gonna just have them throw on a gxp rear bumper (no badges obviously) cause i like the rear lower valance better. and the bumper bar is gettin cut off for some free hp.

haha diablo no way till after my intake atleast...i remember you feathering the gas against me when the car was stock...car needs a good 50 more hp and you off the bottle before me and you will go again...but any time you ever wanna run up and down 222 and look for some victims shoot me a pm.

Oh come on......I wasn't even on the bottle........and I was at least half way on the throttle when we ran.....

yeahhhh...and i was < 300 to the rear wheels with 100% torque management on the up-shifts then too...car really woke up after the initial tune...what gears are you running by the way?

I was on 3.73s but with the new rear I have 4.11s.

i dont see too many goats in phoenix running near that so yea i am saying that. infact ive raced both a 5.7L and a 6.0L at the track here and sorry to say but they both saw my tail lights the whole way.
fastest goat thats been at the track while i was there last 2 times was a 13.7 IIRC.

and if you read the post i was messin with him i really like the G8's and the GTO's actually. sorry MR D1-SC super car

ok, so probably a dumb statement, but i wouldnt think a tuned G8 GT would hang with an LS1? i thought G8's were a 13.6-13.8 car...

i had it custom tuned by racekrafters (add .com)...they have been in the LSx game for a couple decades and just pulled every last bit of hp out of the stock computers...picked up 40 rwhp from the tune, the highflow cats and custom cat-back goes on very soon...i'll be sure to post up gains...

and on a last note i would never post the story with exact details of the car/race if it were not being true...i could almost guarantee that the t/a driver is a member on here...oh well, like i said before it was crazy fun

i guess you would have quite a power advantage.and thats a damn good tune. either way, sounds like a fun race.

Sounds reasonable, if the firebird wasn't very modded. I played with a g8 gt here in town the other day. We went twice from a 25 roll and by 85-90, I had 2-3 lengths on him. All I had was the lid and catback at the time. As far as I know, he was stock. BTW, sure sounds like your tune woke that car the hell up.

if i dont see your tails that completely 100% proves GTO's are fat pigs

but yea i should see your tails nearly the entire way, but hell when you come out to AZ shoot me a PM, my tranny should be getting built with a much better stall here soon and will hopefully atleast give me the hole shot so i dont see them the entire time. . .

doesnt take much tuning to get a good bit of HP form the g8. there detuned engines for 87 octane. fairly easy to get HP from them tuning to 93.

that plus the torque management pulls over 20*s of timing at 100%....free tip for you guys.

holy lord 20*!!!!!! thats crazy man. talk about being down power when you punch it. just goes to show how badly cars are de-tuned from the factory.

then there's that catalytic overtemp protection that dumps extra fuel to save the life of your emissions equipment... gotta tune that out too.
