G8 GT vs 00/99? Firebird

G8 GT vs 00/99? Firebird ok so who was it??? i have a feeling i know who it was but dont wanna call anyone out. i'll let them own up to it if they're on here 
...black, late model firebird, nice chrome wheels, well kept paint.
comin back from philly to lancaster not 30 minutes ago and i see this firebird coming up on the highway...
1st run
i slow down and let traffic go ahead so i can start pacing him, he sees me and jumps on it and pulls in front of me, we pass a couple cars and he nails it with me about 1/2 a car behind...this is at about 70? he jumps out another full car and i expect to never see him again but i follow suit anyways and to my amazement i stop his pull and start reeling him and by 120 i was front end to his rear bumper and we both shut down for a van in his lane...
2nd run
i take the leader spot and we pass the van i move over into the right lane and see his headlights rise up like a mother ****** and he comes screaming up next to me i drop it into 3rd at 80 (straight into my power band...3800-6200) and by the time his rear bumper is at my nose ~110 (damn he hauls out from his hit) his pull is no more and i actually start pulling...by the time we hit 145 and my buddy is like "dude **** 145" i shut down with his front end on my rear bumper (in any other context that **** sounds real gay lol).
we take a nice cruise to our respective exits at normal people speeds and part ways at the fork at rt 30/283.
if i made any mistakes please correct me and i'll fix the original post. that is if you're on here. and sick runs man never had more fun in my car to date.

this again huh...30+ views and no responses...you guys crack me up...my first race against a comparable car and not one of you smart asses has anything to say.
Haha j/k with ya, that part about being front bumper at rear bumper made me laugh.

tugboat i love how you get all sour that no one will come in your threads and debate with you.
maybe its because everyone knows Pontiacs last car [the GTO was fat and slow] and that your huge G8 is probably the same way

...lol, i feel since no one else on this ****** site will represent the g8 in this section its my sole duty to drive it like i ****** stole it and get some real world feedback from the car...fat yes, slow...for now, faster than other cars...a couple 
...
but on a serious debate note for the thread's purpose...i think he just straight ran out of gearing...once we were both in 4th (assuming he was an A4) the G8 still has so much room in the 6speed it still pulls. sound right?

I took a ride in an auto one. They're pretty quick, but it's tough to compare to an LS1 because the G8 has a more refined speed... it's smooth. They are pigs, though.. just like every other 'performance car' nowadays. Great interior and tons of value with a price tag barely north of 30K. A friend of mine who has owned the GTO and now a G8 says the G8 is much better.

and that does sound right, he was probably stock gear'd car A4, and yes those auto 6 speeds are very niawce.

PS.. Tugboat.. My clutch hasn't arrived yet. Should be another day or so. I was putting my fuel pump in but it's windy as **** today.. tomorrow is supposed to have no wind.

naw pny they were to the OP...haha, gotta wait till i D1-SC it and build the tranny and everything else to take 25 lbs, then i'll give it a shot at you...so i found out a couple mins ago that it wasn't the member i thought it was, so who's the mystery t/a driver???

It was NOT me but great races! I had one play with me the other day in I-95 and it did pretty good...even though my clutch was slipping haha...I still pulled away from it pretty good once the clutch grabbed. We raced up until 130ish and I put about 4 cars on him from 65ish. My car is basic bolt on, full exhaust....blah blah and I was not spraying on him even though I have it. Kinda dumb to spray with a slipping clutch. I will own a G8 one day though, I think they are awesome 4 doors
