Ws6 vs "Terminator"



Why the **** are all these noobs with light bolt-on cars suddenly beating 450+rwhp cars that should be in the 11's with 120+mph traps?
You forgot the part about the Cobra towing a boat.. This is LS1tech and most people here favor LS1s, but bullshit like this is what ruins the place.
It's like we are back in 05 with the Cobra info. Gotta keep these guys straight.
With simple bolt-ons, youre looking at 12.50's and slower @ 113-114ish, just a bit better than a stock Cobra with a decent driver. To pull on a pullied Cobra (118-120 traps from a roll), you will need a H/C/Bolt-ons and pulling is still not guaranteed even if you add a 90/90, healthy cam and a great tune (trapping 123mph is not easy), been there 2 years ago.
What is your trap speed now with exhaust and a lid?

No one that's reasonable here questioned your kill because it was believable. The people who came in to defend you saying they smack pullied Cobras with their lid only f-body is what really got this thread rolling.
my best 1/8 on street tires is 8.6 @ ~88.xx, no traction 
only gone to 1/4 once and i broke my driveshaft... took me 4 hours and picked up another one, put it on and limped a best of 109 trap

ok its a long story so ill start... about a month after i got my car, i saw a svt creeping up behind me... im going about 80 so i drop it in 4th gear(STUPID!!!) and he just flys past me like i was nothing... im like dang i suck *** those are fast... i remember his car because youll always remember if a yellow dumdumdumdumdum beats you and has a liscence plate of "GM KILR" i was pissed.... well today, as im pulling out of work, i see a yellow termi go by and give a friendly rev... well we get on the toll way and i follow him, hes going like 110.. finaly, on a straight away, he slows it down, so i roll up next to him and we both nod that i will honk.. so i dropped it in 3rd and held 70-mph... i honked 3 times and we are off... the results shocked the **** outa me, im still pissing my pants of excitment... i pulled at least, AT least 1 1/2 cars on him, might of been 2, all the way though 3rd..((i dont shift that hard going that fast in fears of going back into 2nd) as i start in 4th hes still proly mabye 1 car behind me... then into 5th he creeped up to my bumper buy by about 150 i had a full car on him again... then i cut it off... as we slowed i nodded to go again, but he didnt want to, so i exited and went home... ok i know the bashing is going to start that it was stock, but i do have an opposing agurment... it was not stock.. it at least had an exhaust setup, and it was lowered a bit... and he also had a boost gauge collumn. thats all i kno and thats all i have to go by... but a win is a win and im super stoked.. im writing this before i even say high to my gf haha.. also, if he puts GM KILR on his lisence plate, wouldnt you think its souped up a lil????

the cobras stock are only 390hp... lets do 15 calculated loss... thats only 331whp... but w/e guys, you know everthing, i raced a fake cobra, i raced a v6 cobra.... what was i thinking in posting this... sorry for the confusion...well if ne of you haters know a stock cobra that wants to run in the dfw area.... i guess bring it?

Sorry man..but you're story is...well....out there. You don't know much about what the cobra's have, you're posts seem like you are a tad clueless on them, which de-credits your knowledge on them all together. Given that and the cobra had a 'boost gauge column'.....I'm inclined to say you beat a 99/01 with some goodies. You pulled instantly in 3rd up to two cars and he crept back off of your granny shifted, no dble clutchin til 150.?.?
To think of it, I have a hard time believing you hit 150 too.

I'm with you on this one ponygt65 - i see posts on here all the time about guys making it to 140 or 150 mph and I'd really like to see the roads you guys race on... When my T/A was a heads/cam/full bolt-on car, i remember how long it took to get to 140mph... can't imagine the eternity it take to get to that speed in a bolt-on only car.... 140 happens in an instant nowadays
PS... have YOU ever gone that fast? or did the cars flying by scare you too much?
