A bolt-on LS1 is no match for a pullied Cobra, unless they Cobra driver sucks and they are out there.
Logic tells you that a 360rwhp F-body should not and will not hang with a 460rwhp Cobra. There is no other way to say it.
Now a well cammed (400rwhp) or H/C (410-440rwhp) is totally understandable.

seriously the last two threads i have read dealing with cobras have been mind blowing. i think the best one was in the last thread. the kid with the ws6 that wiped the floor with pullied cobras. then he posted up he ran high 8's in the 1/8 with 86 mph traps. that was good stuff. ahhh newbies if anything they are good for a laugh

The reason i said i don't have a problem with then was because the last 2 pulled cobras I raced I beat, maybe it was the driver, doesn't matter.
At gateway i ran a 04 blue cobra wit ha ported eaton blower
His My
1.98 1.67 60'
12.08 11.79 (internally stock)
119mph 114.4mph
yes he did mph me but i still got the win, and i figured since this guy had a ported blower and many other things maybe just a pullied cobra vs a 6 speed would be a good run, And that was my original question, Did the other cobra have a pulley? And all of a sudden everyone thinks i'm a newbie. Well you guys must be right, you are on LS1TECH(the almighty knowledge center) So i bow to you.....
The second cobra i ran was my buddies 03 pullied/cai only.
I was running 11.6 @117 when i raced him on the street, we went from a 10 roll and I pulled 2 cars buy 50, then it was only one car at 120 before we shut it down.
Every car is a little different and your experiences may be different then mine,

i keep seeing to many guys on LS1tech.com with bolt on cars claim how they have ran with a pullied cobra....its not possible at all even if the cobra owner missed a whole gear he could make up the distance pretty quick. i run my buddys all the time and he puts a good 4-5 cars on me...from a dig im right next to him but as soon as he hits that 3rd gear its over...im tired of seeing people say this im going to race one of my buddys on video so some people can get the idea of what a pullied cobra WILL do to a full bolt on LS1

Pot, meet kettle.................
Don't bring that 'know it all' ignorance BS in here. Everyone's ignorant to one degree or another, but don't toss the arrogance into the melting pot.
Uh..you do realize that 1.98/12.08 with 119mph = ****-AE driver right? What stage port?...you do realize there are different ones right?
And, NO, you didn't 'ask' if he was pulleyed. Go re-read your post.
That's all I'm going to say, to give you a chance to sit back and learn a little something.
OP - good runs and sounds about right for a CAI/exhaust cobra against your car.
Wow some of you guys get really bent out of shape about a bolt-on camaro beating a pulled cobra.
