I8ASALEEN,
Definitely must have one of the top dyno-ing LT1's of all time (pure bolt-on car, stock heads, and stock cam). I can only think of a couple other cars that have dyno'd higher than me with all bolt-ons, stock heads & stock cam. My car actually was over 300 rwhp before I even did my FLP longtubes back in the day. I have done every imaginable trick that can be done to a LT1 bolt-on car. I can only think of one of two guys right now (Roadtrip120's car dyno'd 331 rwhp & 353 rwtq IIRC), and the other escapes me (he dyno'd 330 rwhp & 351 rwtq IIRC). My car has dyno'd multiple times on different dyno's at 323 rwhp & 343 rwtq (give or take few on any particular time). On one occassion I actually dyno'd 330 rwhp & 350 rwtq, but I don't typically count that one time. The car has no reduction other than the back seats are removed. I do have a full aftermarket suspension with K-member, upper and lowers, not sure how much weight saving is involved, if any. The car is a fully optioned WS6, 6spd, T-top car. So, it must weigh in the neighborhood of 3500 lbs +/- a little ? I also have never installed a cut-out on the car, and it seems to be understood that a full bolt-on LT1 can pick-up another 7rwhp / 7rwtq from the cut-out ? If that is the case, I should see 330 rwhp / 350 rwtq consistently (JMO). 12.40 ish is definitely not out of the realm of capabilities on this car. 12.61 @ 109 (original ET) with a 60ft of 1.89. I suspect with a full slick and my current suspension the car should be capable of a 1.65 to 1.75 (full coil-overs front and rear with QA1 springs & 12 ways adjustables). If you just take a tenth or two from the bottom (60 ft time) it should give me a tenth or two on the big end (12.40 / 12.50 ish), at least another 1 mph on the big-end (110 ish, don't think I can make it to 111 ??).

Capn smokey (your full of hate )
I'm far from the fastest bolt-on LT1 record, IIRC the current bolt-on record is 11.80 ish by Shon Herron (he has owned it for quite some time).

DiscerningZ32,
Thanks for pointing that out, but its understood that typically a cars trap speed is more in play from a roll race. I can't speak for the CTS-V (spinning or not), but my car was hooked and gone.

Couple pics of the car:

Had the nose off working on the HID's:

LOL, Lamont I love the non-believers. Then you show pics & they realize your car isn't a 100,000+ mile worn out LT1 like 90% of the population is used to seeing. Those cars are getting old now & yours probably has the lowest original miles & is the overall cleanest LT1 I have ever laid eyes on. Except a few show cars who never see any street miles.

There is only a few LT1 cars I like out there, and yours is one of them
I wasn't calling BS, but I don't really see how you beat a 115-120mph trapping car. thats a street race for ya though

Thanks for the compliments guys!

SARGE_13,
I agree with you, street racing can produce all kinds of results. FYI, I did not really beat him technically (I got caught through 4th gear and then he started pulling a train on me in the top of 4th, going into 5th)

BigMike,
I think you stated it best " its not some worn-out LT1 " Most people just assume the LT1 is a dead dog at this point, and rightfully so. I like the underdog status of a LT1 just from the fact most people never expect it to be a race, or they think I have a LS1 in the car

LOL, if he told you he'd have to kill you. It's top secret & even friends need classified clearance to get a estimate, LOL. I have known Mike for several years now & will only say that there has been no expense spared on this car. Even down to custom polished brackets under the hood everywhere. It is literally a show car with a owner who actually likes to drive it instead of just wipe the dust off for car shows.

I'm guessing near 15k total. That tubular K-memeber, all that suspension work, plus the rims, complete wilwood brakes, then full bolt-on's, that stuff adds up quick, then the price of the car when you bought it im sure was much higher. Either way man thats the cleanest LT1 i have ever seen and is even more inspiration for me to put money into mine

i enjoy telling the LS1 guys its just a old worn out LT1

That is one beautiful car...just a question, with all the money into it why not 2k more for a cam/head package? Set of LE or Ai heads with even a baby cam and you would have had a chance with the V. Unbelievable!

Oh by the way the 09 CTS-V is one awesome car. Shy of sounding sexist, it the only car I will have owned that my wife will not want to drive, as she said "thats to man-ly looking". Sold my E55 with the intension to buy the V. The cars value is dropping fast so I will wait a few more months but I can get one at auction for 45-48K now. When it drops to 40K it will be in my garage!

Lingenfelter offers a pulley package for the V that boosts the RWHP by 75hp and flattens the tq curve to look like Kansas, all for $600.00-$1,500.00. Thats like 640 crank Hp.

Fuzzy,
I have to agree on wanting a V, also have a good friend that owns two car lots and I have been saying to him I want to get rid of my JAG and buy a V from him at auction The only reason this car does not have a LE3 cam & LE3 heads is because I love having fun with its sleeper status. My plans are quite a bit bigger than a heads and cam swap. The parts pile has been growing for the last 1 1/2 and I'm getting close to putting together a real street terror for a LT1

Thanks for the compliments on my car, I appreciate it
