no reason for a bs flag. my stang made near 500 rwhp and ran a 14.1 @114 then a 13.5@116 on street tires with a 2.4 60 ft blowing them off till 4th gear then put a set of e.t. streets on a with a 2.0 60 ft but hookin from 2nd managed a 11.6 @120+

lol I gave everything I had that night. Just couldn't do what I had to do with the track. It hooked up off the line and then right after I got off the line 1st gear spun. After that everything was fine but I had lost too much ground for a 12 second slip. There were people complaining left and right and the people running the track were getting pissed and telling everyone to lose the attitudes.

Don't you know that you should be grateful that they even allowed you on their sacred track...even though you payed money for certain conditions which they failed to deliver on, lol. I hate it when the track personnel get all pissy when they cause their own problems. It happens at LVD all the time. Any other track that I've been to will have a spill cleaned up twice as fast. Once they even tried to close a rental day early even though they delayed the start of racing for 2 hours due to them not having the track ready in time. Luckily the owner of the track found out and made them stay open the extra 2 hours.

When you spin you lose ground to create speed. It makes no sense that when you spin your trap speed will go up. My best MPH in my Cobra was off a 1.51 60'. If what you said was true the Vette should have been running 140mph since he was having such bad traction problems.

Ive heard of ppl picking up trap speed with a better hook but its not common. Everyone I know and every car ive owned has trapped better with a lil wheel spin and lost trap speed with a good hook. With a good hook you are often trying to accelerate the car out of its powerband thus wasting ground. With some spin you can keep the car in its powerband and avoid bogging. Its not a clear cut scenario and it all depends on the car and the setup, my car trapped 89 on motor with drag radials and 93 on street tires
