Killed an Evo
Killed an Evo I was on my way to work on the freeway this morning, and I see a black Evo (8) pull up behind me... I figure well maybe he wants to play, but I was a little wary seeing as I have a brand new clutch in the car and am still breaking it in. Well, he pulls even with me at about 50ish, and downshifts.. I follow suit, but I only put it in 3rd rather than 2nd, trying to be careful on the clutch. He and I hit it at the same time, he stays about a fender out til I hit about 4500 rpms, then I start to pull away pretty good. By the time I shut down, in 4th gear after a really slow and easy shift, I had a good 3 cars on him. I thought he would have been faster, but guess not. From what I could tell, he had exhaust and a loudass recirc valve.... Good times though

I've got a lid, ram air, ported and polished TB, and a monster stage III w/ lighter flywheel. That's all that's done to the car for now.

Nice run. I have yet to race one. I thought I was about too one night, from behind it looked like it...got up even with it, saw the front end...and laughed. It was a stock Lancer, with EVO decklid and wing, and badges. Stock *** front end, no intercooler. I just kept going on my way loling the whole way.
