ive seen this first hand...

My 470 rwhp srt10 viper vs a friends 550 rwhp supra vs a friends stock 455 rwhp c6z06...my viper and the supra were about dead even with me maybe a 1/2 car up..the c6z06 though pulled us by a good 2 cars...it took a little while for the z06 to match us in it's lower rpm's...but man oh man once it got to it's 5k-7k range it just passed us up..

We stopped around 150 mph...I was infront from 70-130 mph..By 135 mph he was beside us...And from 140-150 mph he pulled the two cars...

Ive always noticed that they wernt as fast as the srt10 vipers off the initial hit but made up for it big time in the upper rpms

If that Supra TRULY had 550 RWHP, the Z06 would have gotten walked nicley. I walked a C6 Z06 and I only have 490 RWHP. We went from 40mph to about 120mph, he was a couple cars back.

Maybe if we went longer he would have caught up/past me...............

Sorry man you are wrong....Not only has my friend beatn that 550 rwhp Supra..But also tied another good friends 550 rwhp Supra from a dead stop to 140 mph...They wont even go from a roll because they know the z06 will walk away....

Im no Z06 nut swinger eighter..I could have one pretty easily but it just dosent do it for me in the looks/interior/rarity departments...But Im not blind eighter..Thy are lightning fast..

My friend who owns the stock C6Z06 also owns 2 differrnt 1000 PLUS rwhp Supras and jis the head man for a supra club/forum here in Hawaii.. They all go yno at the same laces and we know what power levels everyone s running...


Im pretty impressed that you were able to pull a 450 rwhp 3100 pound car that builds power effertlessly in your 3500 pound 490 rwhp car that despite how fast you think it may hit has some lagg in comparison to a NA 7.0 in the Z06..

But I can guarantee you it was driver related...Run into a well driven stock Z06 that can run 11.7 at 124 mph with little issue and can do 0-150 mph in 18.0 seconds with little issue and you'll see just how fast they are compared to a 3500 pound 490 rwhp supra...Even with very small twin quik building turbos I still cant see your car turning better than a 12.0 at 120 mph and 0-150 mph in 20.0 secods.

Hot trying to be an a$$hole a I have no real nut swinging for eighter Supras or Z06's...But just telling it like it is

It wasnt making 550rwhp. I wasnt running enough boost for that much HP. What Killemall fails to tell everyone was that I was only running 17 lbs of boost AND I all my exhaust valves were bent at the time. No way I was making 550rwhp on 17 psi on an automatic. Secondly, he doesnt show the 2nd race where I turned up the boost to only 19 psi and beat them BOTH. He also doesnt mention that he cheated on that race. We were supposed to run as is and he made sure that I would not turn my boost up. That being said he went home the night before and took off his exhaust and cat and didnt tell anyone. I will gladly run the Z06 again at a dyno proven 550rwhp anytime he wants to do so.

how did I know this was going to be brought up from the dead. In defense for Fearsm.. his car wasn't running 100% and I knew it. While that vid was the second race, I wasn't planning on running with them, I decided to at the last minute and started half a car back. The supra did out perform the Viper, but I ended up passing both of them at around 130 mph and started shutting down at 155-160 mph. The Supra had to get engine repaired, but is now up and running fine. I am always down for a little friendly competition. The viper, is no longer with us, so please.. a moment of silence..

I can admit when I had my ported eaton and 510 rwhp and 540 rwtq i got my *** walked all over by a c6z. Those cars just move, like real fast. And supras are dyno queens to the maxxx. They make no power below the curve, its all peak. The z's dyno look like a freggin eaton cobra dyno!!! Massive tq down low all the way up in the power band, and perfect gears for the rpm and they are aero/light cars to top it all of. Thats why they move soo welll.

did you guys know a 100% bone stock 2008 viper just ran a 10.92 at 130 mph on the factory tires in near april weather????

Supras were amazing cars back in the early to late 90's when running a 12 was insane and an 11 was amazing and a 10 was just unherd of...

But these days you can buy a 65K C6Z06 or 75K Viper that will run a 10 bone stock with great driving and 11's all day..

The C6Z06's ar averaging 124 mph trapps and the 2008 Vipers are averaging 127 mph trapps..

Again th supras are OK and were amazing in their time..But all great things come to an end..factory 500-600 HP cars have seen to that

Why are people talking about the corvette having the advantage in power to weight? If the supra really had 550rwhp it would have a slightly better power to weight. Not enough to make a difference really. Power to weight had nothing to do with the race.

MKIV Supras in general are heavier than C6Z's.

Umm Yea, I know. But it doesn't matter once a supra gets up to that power level. No one should be saying the vette has a power to weight advantage.

I just want to add... that I know both those guys and the Z06 with RF's was turning 128mph runs ALL DAY at 11.0's.

Furman, owner or the 08 viper that went 10's, also went 10's with a bone stock c6 Z06.. @ 129-130mph.

Awesome cars but this proves the viper is NOT FASTER than a c6 z06.
