Well they run mid-high 13s with i/h/e and a good tune. So with a ported head, cams, and a thinner headgasket (higher compression) I'd say high 12s/low 13s? So you shouldn't have a problem, especially from a dig.

Double that, at bare minimum.

Oh I know this but come on. My car should run around 11.6@120mph realistically the way it sits now on the 17" wheels and Nitto tires. I do not see a N/A street driven Civic running this fast!

That's why I said they probably go like hell on the highway but can't hook up for squat from a dig. Twenty bucks says anyone who shows up with a 280whp car that weighs 2200 pounds won't run from a dig on the street (and I hope you meant 2200 because no street car is rolling around weighing 1200 pounds). You MIGHT be able to talk them into it if you agree to a bunch of roll runs so they have some bragging rights, but they better have some HUGE freaking tires on the front, even for low rolls.

gotta agree with ya on that one stopsign, there is only a handful of N/A Civic's running that fast in general. thats quick even for a N/A V8 if you ask me, sure there is faster but 11.6 N/A is plain quick no matter what its in and its especially fast for a 4 cylinder. they would need to be fully gutter i mean down to bare metal inside and just a driver seat. with some huge front slicks to even imagine hooking up on the street.

i *know* you got this one in the bag unless you toast a cylinder or 2 during the race

Well my friend said this guy does have a gutted interior and cruises around with only the driver's seat. Sounds completely ******* stupid to me buuuuuut, its a Honda owner (no offense Irunelevens and you know I'm looking for one too) it seems as if gutting the interior down to nothing is the cool thing to do.

I give you that one though...120 N/A in a civic is hard. But if it was boosted now...different story. Buddy has gone 115 in his stock *** d motor crx, with minimal weight reduction. No carpet and stuff in the back hatch, and maybe front passenger area (cant' remember), and has a gt30r on it. Not reliable at all, but he has (had) a stock pile of motors from doing swaps for others...blows one up, puts a new one in in a day. If built for the turbo, and actually built a reliable one ( he can, just doesn't), he could be doing your times. He went 12.1 also. maybe around 230 hp or more.

I do not doubt a Honda with boost. I've personally seen a red Integ around here that made around 500fwhp take names on the interstate with some VERY high hp V8s.

All of those year hondas are ******* light....I hear the EF hatches, with weight reduction, can get down to like 1400-1700 lbs. Mixed with a boosted motor....******* crazy. Sound like **** though , but I still want a boosted d motor for a DD

I don't know how much is BS or not. The owner of this Civic was bragging to my friend and told him he ran 7.1 on street tires in the 1/8th. Now I don't care if this Civic weighs 50lbs he is not going to run that time in the 1/8th. Needless to say I feel alot of this is BS and I will be asking to run for alittle cash. Oh and ofcourse there will be a video! The day my car fires up I will be telling my friend to get in touch with this Civic guy.

Stopsign32v, does this mean that your motor is just about up and running? How did you end up taking care of the leaking fitting? Let us know how the race goes!

Yea, striped EGs are light like that. Crxs probably are the lightest, followed by EF (the like 91s).
