I think from a dig, you would win(assuming he was stock). From a roll, it would be close assuming he was a 6sp. Have fun out there.

My stock Z06 went 12.23@113 last night with 600 miles on the clock.I know its not a regular C-5 but it can be used for a reference.Your 1/8 times are 4/10ths and 6.5 mph slower than the slip I have.Find a stock vette to run and see what happens.

I beat every F-body I raced in my Stock A4 C5. Granted, obviously none of them were modded save for some bolt ons. And 25psi, a stock Vette probably traps in the 107-110 range hence your oh so slight pull

Yea but I also raced him with a measly 12psi of boost. If I would have boosted 15-17, it would have been alot worse.

Well if by "walking it" you mean 1-3 cars from a dig, then I guess I'd agree. I usually consider walking someone a pretty one sided race, and I don't see that happening here. The Camaro has headers, catback, and a filter. The Vette has a 2-500lb weight advantage (and it may not be stock). From a roll if the Vette was a 6spd with a good driver I'd say it would be very close. From a dig I'd give it to the Camaro.

Generally when anyone says "you'd walk it" you would consider that being a race where one person effortlessly "walked" right past the other one. I'm sorry but a lightly modded camaro will not effortlessly "walk" past a corvette. It WILL be a struggle, and will probably end with a one-two car lead, max.

The Camaro also has a Yank coverter. It turns a 13.2 car into a mid to high 12 sec car with headers catback and lid. This is NOT a stock camaro. He wouldnt walk him but 3 cars would not surprise me at all,IF the vette was stock.

I think the idea of "walking" a car, is barley creeping but eventually passing... ?

sorry but the camaro guy is running mid 12's at least, most stock vettes dont break into the 12's unless they are a 6 speed w/ a good driver

Ah then I could see a few cars on the vette, given the race was from a dig.

Barely creeping up, but eventually passing would be considered a close race. Generally when you say someone "would walk" or "walked" another car, you are saying the race wasn't even close. Kinda like you "walked" the other car as if it were a dog.

Default stock C5 time

I ran a 12.98 109 mph in a 2001 6mt vette coup at bowling green in late april. Made a dozen passes the rest were 13.0's. Real hard to hook up with the $hit goodyear run flats that come on those cars. Ran a 12.58 in a 2001 Z06 at the same track on the same day. Both cars bone stock 1/2 tank of gas. I work at a Chevy dealer that sells a bunch of vettes. Go to a lot of vette shows and stuff like that. A F body with a few mods will beat a stock vette.
