Nice kill, OP, but if you pulled that many cars with your mods then the guy clearly couldn't drive at all. They are mid 13 second cars at 104-105 without a problem from the few initial track tests I've seen, so they basically run what your car would if it was stock (same times and traps as a stock LS1 Fbody). They'll definitely hit low-13s if they haven't been doing it already. Your mods aren't going to put you 6 cars up on him in double digit speeds after losing 2 cars on the launch unless he is one sucky *** driver.
Also, I think those new 370Zs are pure sex on wheels. I can't honestly think of another NEW car I'd buy over it at the moment in that price range. And the one I've seen in real life in that blue color...

the 07 Z's would run mid to low 13's, I figure the new ones will be high 12 cars with some good tires/driver/tune
I don't know how they handle mods, I'm sure they will hold their own. But I can't imagine an engine modding better then an LSX engine.
But Nissan has really put out a good sports car IMO

it is how it is,I ran 13.1 to 13.2 on average with just my cutout and lid- and free mods. not including the 36000 stall other tranny work and tune or torque arm added later. I have 70RWHP more than a 370z. But I still agree he could have been a bad driver or getting use to the new car

I guess those things are quicker than I had originally guessed. I like the way they look alot. Nissan did a damn good job with these things. There's a guy here in town who had an 05-06 350z with a couple of bolt-ons, and it was definitely quick, but the dude was always scared to race anything that he didn't know that he could beat, kinda gay if you ask me but whatever.

I'd take a new 370Z in that blue color over any new Camaro or new Mustang GT I've seen in real life or pictures. As much as I love the LS3, my number one priority when buying a NEW car is looks, and I think the 370Z looks a lot better than both. The new Mustangs look really nice but I'm not liking what I've seen of the Camaros, and I just saw a new SS the other day in real life. It isn't doing it for me so far. That blue 370Z I saw, though, was absolutely gorgeous.

Knowing that a car doesn't have the melodic rumble of a V8 coming through the pipes out back automatically makes my brain think that a six-banger is that much uglier and less appealing than it is. Although I do think the 370 looks great, it's nowhere near a new SS or Challenger RT (same price range). Or maybe I've just been inhaling too many fumes from my V8's over the years and it's clouded my perception on what looks good?

Regardless, it's still on par with a stock LS1 straight line performance-wise, which is impressive in my book considering it's an NA V6 that gets 18/26 mpg. I'm not usually big on gas mileage in my performance cars but I'm just thinking about how they made a 105mph NA V6 that still gets that kind of gas mileage. Like I said, I think that's damn impressive.
