290rwhp from an N/A 3.7l V6 ain't bad though

We have similar mods, so you are probably close to my 1/4mi times. I don't have any tuning so there is some room for improvement, anywho nice kill!!

I ran across a blue 370Z yesterday. A young black dude driving it with rap blaring as loud as he could get it out of his car. I tried to get him to go but he didnt want to. Made me think of this thread. I really wish he would have stepped up to see what they have.

news flash there already running low 13's and trapping as fast as ls1's.

Id take a hit in performance at my current state if i traded for a 370z but i would take one in a heart beat. they make decent power arent arent too heavy. and by far the sexiest car on the road other than exotics.

as for ICE
good kill and all but 6-7 car lenghts just to 70-80 mph... with you slipping for 2 seconds? you dont have the mods to pull that off unless you just out launched the hell out of him and he was also slipping and spinning. he can trap just as quick as you. your only advantage would be off the line really. anything happens on the road but he should have been closer.

as far as your 70 rwhp? the only mod i noticed that will give you more hp is a lid. i say you maybe got 20-30 more rwhp than a 370z if that. i know a few have dynoed 290+ range stock. have you actually dynoed yours?

id like to know what some of your 1/4 times are.

the hrz or whatever 350z i think there called or the last models of those were hitting 13.3 range 1/4 times. . give a 370z with less weight and more HP and tq. well id say there equal. to an ls1 in the 1/4 easily to disagree would just be hardheaded.

with my cutout, lid and free mods I was running 13 flats to 13.2 on average i hit a 12.9 once but it was just one with perfect conditions on my KDW's. I can launch my car very well, I said 70rwhp because i looked around the net and saw they were averaging 260-270rwhp, I am at 334rwhp with 350foot lbs. I have yet to run her at the track with the 3600 stall, tune, torque arm and other tranny mods like the clutch kit, and transgo. But I have also added that I agree that the "brand new" 370 was not at its fullest.

^ I believe the story, I think its a bit far fetched on the detail but its doable. Remember though that not only is the 370 getting low 13's for sure and 0-60 of 4.7 but that it really shines on the highway. The new Z is absolutely a competitor to the LS1 cars.

They dyno around ~290rwhp... the links you posted were done on a Dyno Dynamics dyno, which is more conservative than a dynojet.

That 370Z should have put up more of a fight. They are strong performing cars with potential and good looking cars IMHO - aside from the goofy sharks teeth on the front grill. I love how much wheel you can stuff into the rear wells. One of the rags did 10.5" without any rolling or crazy offsets to clear the calipers. Yummy. I personally think Nissan hit a nice balance between performance and price on the 370z but, in all fairness, BMW extracted 333hp from their 3.2L S54 in the E46 M3 almost 10 years ago now. Europe saw another 20hp from their version of the motor.

you fail big time.

first number is uncorrected. . . and next three are as stated "heart break dyno" meaning it dyno's a little on the low side. way to pick the lowest numbers you can find!
