Default first full kill

I've had my trans am for over a month now, and all I've ever done as far as kills go is smashing a civic that just has the can exhaust going down the highway, even though i tried to race a mustang once but a cop was behind us. So today i'm sitting in my bedroom studying calculus, and decided enough was enough i need to go relax. so i do the same thing as always drive. going out of clemson i see this bright fluorescent yellow rx8 with every body kit money can buy, and he comes up next to me and i can hear him spooling up his turbo real loud, so i rev back. fun and games, done it before. the road out of clemson gives you about a 1/4 mile with no shoulder as it leads up to a bridge, so you can see any car coming or going and no cops hiding. he gets up next to me and just floors it, and i'd already been expecting so i was in 2nd. from a 30 roll i took him right away, he caught right back up, then at 80 i just started gaining on him quick before i just coasted at 90. it was my first kill so i was psyched, especially when he told me he had the car for over a year and put a lot of money into it and i just replied oh mine is stock

Nice kill. Those RX-8's are dogs on the straight. Even with some boost they still don't seem to be that fast.

i was surprised i'd never really seen one and for all that noise the turbo made it was a bit of a let down

The RX8's are slow.....very slow. Handle and brake pretty well, but suck in a straight line.

Yea, there was a Bosnian guy who i went to HS with who bought a brand new one and he was doggin on the LT1, i told him lets do it, from a 20 roll i put a couple cars lengths on him, i was stock and had a passenger. He had a CAI, and exhaust too. Afterwards all he could say was well my car still looks cooler

Nice kill, man. RX8s aren't exactly known for their straight line performance (OK, OK, that's a big understatement), but you never know just how much money and time someone puts into a project...any project.

Uh....no they don't. It's all preference, but IMO, RX8s look like ***.....and I'm talking 400pounds bikinin wearing ***.

well take that 400 pound bikini wearing *** and paint it bright yellow, and thats what i raced, except throw some cosmetic surgery on there for all that money he dropped on the appearance. i love my trans am and want it to go fast and straight, and everything else is secondary ( ie body kits)

I was there, it was intense. Just don't run him from a dig, apparently they will out-launch you even if your on drag-radials and stalled up on the converter...

Good kill op -

good kill
An Rx8 would be a good daily driver, but I wouldn't go around drag racing it

LSx gets better mileage, better reliablity - I guess the RX8 has better handling though...

haha i'd tend to agree but it is all personal prefference thats why i didnt argue with him, he just wanted to be able to win at least 1 thing so i let him think his car looks better.

Good race thou OP

i wonder how much boost he was pushing? do you know the guy or ever see him around? you should ask some more details if you see him again, ohh and get another run

RX8s are slow. Stock they do the 1/4 in about 15 sec. Also, i dont think they would out handle a V8 f body.
