Who are you calling kid? I know what I am talking about. I know a lot of stang guys and they just don't like the 3 valve motors. I'm not just talking about the heads. I'm talking about the motor in general.

The reason I laughed at sprayed 3vs is cause cam only I raced one with a 100 shot and he didn't win.

What website was this on? I've had 2 3v's (one '07 GT/CS and a 5.0 SPJ302 now) and they are great engines. The only real weak point is the rods

It was on a local stang site. I have heard that the stock rods suck in all the 4.6s besides the cobras. I really wish the server wasn't down so I could look at it again.

You may have read on the Mustang forums how some Mustang guys don't like three valves and everyone has opinions. Fact is they respond to mods very well. One reason alot of "Mustang" guys don't like the three valve as much as the 4V is the cam phaser on the 3V. The phaser (I'm not sure on the spelling) Changes the timing on the cams for better emissions and gas mileage. When you go to aftermarket cams and eliminate the phaser it really wakes up these motors. They are also more complicated to tune. They are still new, most of the good tuners have figured them out. Basically people are creatures of habit and don't like what they don't know. Believe me when the 4V came out on the earilier Cobras ford guys where like "what a piece of ****" now they freakin love them.

The only 4.6 Mustangs that have different rods are the '03-'04 Cobras. So if your opinion is that every 4.6 Mustang but the '03-'04 Cobra sucks, then maybe you should say that instead . The 3V GTs are able to take basically just as much power on the stock shortblock as a non-Terminator 4V, given a good tune.

well since you guys are off my topic lol my mom had a 96 XR7 cougar with the 4.6 in it, i don't know much about mustang engines so i don't know which valve it was . . . anyway that engine ran hella strong and it was a blast to drive until one day my mom tried to start it and well that was that. the engine was pulled at the ford dealership and 2 rods bent in the shape of an S at only 75k.

now back to my subject lol mustang guys (and i'm not tryin to single you out lol) when i get dr's if i still get killed it'll be by much less i hope right?

The tune must suck *****, or the Cam timing is WAY OFF< or both.
