Yea if I had a Mach as my DD I'd be at the track all the time. I'd like to see the absolute best ET I could get out of it stock, then bolt ons, then bolt ons/tune, then throw in gears...etc.

No, actually I'd like to do that with a LS3 Vette 6 speed...but ya know.

I just love teh whistle and Vortech doesn't sound the same and I dont' like the 'tapping into the oil pan'.

I wouldn't mind a PD blower, but the sound I like is .5+ throttle and IDK if I want that. Thought about an eaton swap then whipple later.

I want a D1sc, but they aren't smog legal in CA. That's why I'm thinking TT's cause It'll be tough to get 500+rwhp out of a P1.

But right now.....I'll take any stock 4V.

how come 28 spline, i dont know anything about stangs but do they offer more splines, i thought the more splines the stronger it was thats why i got my 35 spline axels in my moser

I will man....I won't be able to start until next month though.....my oldest sons birthday was this month. IT kills me to look at all these cars on craigslist going for crazy low prices. There's a 98 Cobra 40 minutes away from me..light bolt on, 130k miles and asking 5500. I'm like *****..FK. LOL

The nearest track to me is roughly 2.5 hours away north and south, so I probably wouldn't be seeing much actual track time. And when I do, the 28 hardens will be strong enough. Most guys go straight to 31s or even 33s, but for what I will be doing, a/m 28s will be ok. The stock carriers are fine, it's the crappy axles if anything. Some guys have gone several passes and are still fine on DRs or MT ETs with stock axles....most snap them though with no damage to the carrier (there are a few exceptions, just not the norm.)

It's like anything else, look at your goal, and go from there. I just want a fast/quick sleeper to have fun in and take to the track 2-3 times a year, tops.

I wouldn't go that far... from a roll sure, but there are quite a few stock S197s in the low-mid 13s range, which is good enough to hang with a stock LS1 F-body from a dig.
