In short (speaking of modular SN95/new edge - 96-04).

S281 - GT with Saleen handling package.
S281SC - GT with roots blower. Roughly 310-320RWHP pending year for new edge. low 13s generally.
S281E - Saleen extreme. Forged 2V with 500HP. Not sure of times.
S351 - GT with a 351W stuffed into it. Not sure of specs. Wanna say 320FWHP IIRC. mid upper 13s IIRC.
S351SC - Centrif. blown 351W. 500 or 550 HP (can't recall which). Last year of 1999 (the only New edge year for hte 351W).

Saleen Cobra - Basically all the same as a cobra, but with Saleen handling and body/looks. (99-04)

they all are good for 1.0+g's in handling.

Now...is the only way to tell from the exterior (for some atleast) is the badge? All the same body kit? I would love a s281sc though...IDC if it is a weak blower, it looks sic, and it wouldn't stay stock for long. A S351SC would stay in the ******* garage lol.

I would think the Saleen would be faster than a Mach 1. I'm not saying it is, as I've never seen one run at the track, but it should make 40-50 more rwhp than a Mach 1, I'd think, and more torque with the roots blower.
I'm talkign 1320 racing. Saleens for the SN95/new edges were over rated a bit. They put down just over 300RWHP. They only had 5psi stock and 3.27s (optional with 3.73s). That is only ~20 more RWHP than a mach, but they weigh a tad more (albeit, not much) and have worse rear gears. not sure about TQ. I'd have to dbl check that. Basically, they are a low to mid 13 car like the machs. Very few dipping into the 12s.

Yes....the badging pretty much. THe hoods are different on the S281SCs and the S281Es. I'd have to double check the S351s hoods. I believe the body kits are identical.

There was an S351 near me for sale a while back. GORGEOUS car. It was N/A, but black on black and man did it have potential.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the real world numbers. Going by the "on paper" numbers the Saleen should win easily, but obviously that's why bench racing is not an exact science, lol. It sucks that they were over rated though. Who was in charge of them...the guy who was in charge of the 99 Cobra? LOL

This car is amazing ! This one was for sale over 2 years ago as well. I don't know if its still available, but that seems like a pretty fair price for such a rare car.

Amazing car! I'm a big fan of yellow, but the CETA TA's are the color of an omelet. Great for my morning breakfast, but on my muscle car, lol.
