Default 05 CTS-V vs. Newer IS 350

Ok, I was on my way home heading east on 121 in Frisco just about to turn left onto Hillcrest when I see this BIG *** TURBO diesel mash on it at the light so I decided to jump on it and get a lil play before i got home! Well the second I get side by side with this Big *** dodge he starts going the posted speed limit!!! WTF, so I decided to just turn around at the next light and go home but shitty for me the next light was blocked off by construction so I had to go down to Independence!!!!

As I turn left I see a whole pack of cars in the far left turning lane so I decided to take the outside left turning lane and pulled to a stop at the light but was first in line! I then look over to the left and see a 2006+ IS350 next to me, and new he wanted to play cause he did a lil baby launch forward to get my attention...

As soon as the light turned green we both pulled out realllll slow and made the left turn at about 5mph got up to about 15mph with him side by side with me.. The second we both got straight we launched and before I new it he was about 4 to 5 cars behind me up until about 100+ when I went ahead and slowed down for the upcoming traffic that we caught up to at Coit!!!

I then slowed down to about 35mph to see if he wanted to follow me heading North on Coit to play more but he wouldn’t pull up to me again!!!! I was kind of glad that we slowed down too cause at the head of the pack of cars that we pulled up to at Coit was a po-po in his big *** SUV!!! I slowed it down the rest of the way home!!! I was VERY happy with the lengths I put on him but was also surprised that I didn’t continue to put more then just 5 on him!! I love the looks of those IS350's and wouldn’t mind putting 1 in my stall!!

P.s. Short story- Tried to race a turbo diesel, but ended up spanking a IS350 instead!!! Also went home with a BIG *** smile on my face!!!!!!

well a is350 shouldnt be much comp for a CTSV and a newer 350z that has the new motor would run side by side if not pull on you...but nice kill! and nice car

The new motor 350z (VQ35HR) would get edged out by the 05 CTS-V.

Nice kill OP but the IS350 is slow...
Find yourself an IS-F to race

I would have to disagree with you! As a matter of fact the V will take down a 370Z as well! But its cool, If anyone knows a 370Z to race then PM me cause its one think to say Id win, but another to do it!!!! Sorry for the bench racing....

From what I understand, an LS6 CTS-V traps anywhere from 104-109mph on average.
The highest trapping stock 370z that I've heard of is a 108mph trap with a time of 13.1 seconds achieved by Car and Driver recently, in an automatic no less (13.4 at 107 for the M6).
Here's the article:http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/..._test/(page)/1 (third paragraph down)
I think it would be a fairly close race.

I still don't believe the new Z has much potential as a drag car (if any at all), but it's numbers show it to be a promising track car with a good amount of kick to it in stock form. Certainly more promising than the Z33...

Sorry for the thread hijack OP
But you brought it up

Lol, Its cool! I would rather race a drivers race anyways!!!! On average we see anywere between 107 to 110 in stock form and 115 to 120 for FI.. Me on the other hand, I have never raced my car at the track and would prolly pull a 55mph trap for the 1/4

Good kill, nice car. I have an innocent looking vert that you can try that with. LOL! I've been considering the V but I want the new supercharged one.

****, we should get EVERYONE (local) together and make a SR&K Video!!!!
That would be tight!!!! That means that jayplay has to take a road trip to Tejas to finaly get that run against a stock V in his stock 300 s-r-t-8

Doesn't the A/C in 99% of newer cars shut off once you go WOT?

IIRC, the compressor turns off but the fans stay on in my Car.

Either way nice kill! Being Debadged is pretty B/A if you ask me, leave them wondering if its just a V6 with body kit and rims, or if it really is the real beast
