Well that was it cause i remember the little spoiler in the back. Also i could only see half the passenger's head... And it was a removable top, but now that i see it. It is a convertable.

It was probably a 360. The 430 and 360 look alot alike. The 360 ran 115mph in the 1/4th and the 430 runs 121+mph in the 1/4th.

You could be right... I was too anxious to try to read what it said. If it was the F430 then he was a shitty driver with a passenger. I know with my mods i should be trapping better. Those times i ran where with 19" wheels on nitto INVOS. + im putting down 382rwhp.... I should be a flat 12.0 if not high 11's. Just need some m/t d/rs and ill be good..Also this was my second pass ever in a 6spd car at the track... 12.4 @ 115mph w/ 2.0 60'? I think thats ok for a beginner..

I would have to agree with you! Any kid will think its cool because they dont understand the full danger of doing what we do! Its our responsability to protect other people from our actions and to NEVER include people against there will or to include people that dont know any better! Kids think its fun to do 100+ mph but dont understand that hitting a wall at 100+ mph could and would kill them!!!

That is very respectable for a beginner. Atleast you are using your car for what it was built for and not letting it sit under a car cover only to be taken out on Sunday drives.

In general, to get the levels of performance that most ferraris are rated for, it takes some outrageous HIGH rpm launches.

It seems ferrari does not claim that a 360 spyder is in the 12second range. But whatever.

Despite the slight weight gain, Ferrari spokesmen say the Spider will be only 0.1 second slower in both the 60-mph and quarter-mile sprints. Call it 4.6 and 13.1 seconds. We can live with that. Particularly since the Spider retains the wonderful paddle-operated six-speed F1 transmission option, the roomy interior, the good ergonomics, the great handling, and the fabulous sound effects.

What does any of that have to do with this seeing as how the race was from a roll?

That its much less likely the motor will be in the power band at this punch.

Thanks for pointing that out

What are you basing this off of? Do you own a 360? Do you know what RPMs this car is at, at 5mph, 10mph, 15mph, or 20mph? You don't even know what speed the car punched it from. You are simply basing your opinion on what Car and Driver said. Not to mention Car and Driver never gave details on the run, just threw 13.1 out there. So you throw your ignorance out there too by saying this car only makes power around 7,000rpms. please

Here is a hint, Exotics have to launch at a higher RPM because they have a V8, V10, and V12 sitting over the rear drive tires.

You tell me mr expert, what is the likely hood that a very small displacement v12 will beable to keep up with a roll (most likely out of the power band) with a big v8? What insite do you have.. not much more obviously.

You can be no more certain that it was a 360 than I was it was a 430.
You don't have any of those details either.

So your 'fukn' dreaming initial response was just an off the handle uninformed retort... You just wont admit it..

Ah, no- its cause they have less TORQUE.. but sure - your the expert..

First off neither the 360 or 430 have a V12. Strike one for you

I would not call a LS6 with a cid of 346 a "big V8". Strike two for you

My response was from first hand experience racing a F430 in a 03 C5 Z06. Strike three for you

You're an idiot. Just because a car has less torque does not mean it cannot get off the line better. There are these things called gears...well you find these things in the transmission and rear of the car....if the number is higher then your motor will rev faster getting your into your powerband faster.

Oh damn, did I just make sense? I bet I lost you then...

The number of cylinders had very little to do with it (but I stand corrected). And a LS6 is considered a big v8 in just about every other context than US. Obviously, its quite a bit bigger than a 3.6v8 eh?? And if you don't think that makes a difference down low, then you have a couple of strikes against you also.

There still could have been a few things that differed from your experience. Just extrapolating that brings little facts to the table.

Im thinking a stock Z06 and 360 would be a drivers race and modded Z06 and 430 would be a drivers race so Id bet it was indeed a 430.
