I went to go drop some movies off at blockbuster. As im getting into my car i hear this rice exhaust sound at high rpms. I look over the bushes and see a red ferrari with its top removed and think to myself "O yea!!!!" I turn TC off and get out of the lot as fast as i could. I end up fishtailing trying to get out to catch up to him . Well i get very lucky and its just him and one other car on a 3 lane road. Not much traffic ahead. He has a passenger who looks like a kid. Anyways im getting very anxious cause im sure he will want to race. I start out in 1st and slowly start moving. I shift into second thinking "Maybe he won't race, o well." Im about 2 cars ahead of him. At around 3k rpms in my second gear i hear his engine rev high. So i say "****" and punch it in second gear . He puts a car and half on me. As this is happening im thinking why couldnt i have just left it in 1st gear.

After second runs out i shift into 3rd and notice im not pulling nor is he gaining on me. I run out off 3rd and get into 4th. We are still stuck at the same. Him with a car and half on me. As im in 4th i start reeling him in slowly. I know if i stay in it i will beat him. I stay in it and start edging up on him. I get to his front wheel and shut it down. I knew in my mind i would have won, but im sure in his mind he thinks he won.

After the race he gave me a honk and a thumbs up. I did the same and went on my way with a huge grin on my face. It was my 1st time racing a ferrari in my Z06. I have just headers and a tune and vararam...I can't recall what type of ferrari it was. But it was one of the better ones. Seemed to be a early 2000's model (2000-2004) Maybe not, but it had a removable top and not convertable...

I wouldnt consider it a death... I was gaining on him in 4th, but we were well into the 100's and i didnt want to get above 120. So i shut down. I closed the 1 1/2 car gap he had on me though..

Good runs. Must be a rush to get in a good run with an exotic like that.

My money is on it being a 360.

O it deff was a rush. I was anxious as hell off the line...Deff wasnt that. The rear end was more boxy type and it had a small spoiler on it.

I would think a modded z06 would handle a 360 n/p.
I would imagine this would be about right for a 430.

I've never heard someone comment on a Ferrari's exhaust note as a "Rice exhaust."

Oh and I don't think its cool at all trying to get someone to race with a kid in the car. If I see a kid then its game over, hunt for someone else to race.

I wasnt sure if it was a kid or not. The driver looked very young. Maybe the passenger was a friend or maybe his little brother who knows. All i know is i could only see half his face over the door.


The exhaust sound wasnt the civic ricer type of exhaust. It deff had an aftermarket exhaust on it. It was very loud at that. Sounded like a EVO from a far distance. As i just heard the exhaust and it caught my attention. Thats why i hurryed to go over there and discover it was a ferrari!

I did run a best so far of 12.4 @ 115mph 60' 2.0 so far... So thats prob where i closed the gap on him..

Sry to burst your bubble but its a death man. Simply, you didnt pass him. Its like your at a drag track, you get out launched and your coming back but the other guy crosses the line first, you still lost even thou you have a higher trap speed, same goes for here, you hit the brakes and you were by his wheels, not infront.

Great death man! I wish i'll find a ferrari or lambo to race when I get my next car.

Well if i wanted to be a kid again i could have kept going and passed him. I knew i was going to pass him so i let off. I didnt want to run in the 120's trying to pass a ferrari when the speed limit was 50mph. It can be both ways from different POV's...I closed the 1 1/2 car length gap he had on me. I just decided to shut down cause we were going way to fast for that street....
