I'm still torn between a 540 or a twin turbo LS6. Cost wise it would be similar. The big block requires a lot of special stuff so it adds up. The LS6 I could get a crate motor and change pistons and be good. It helps that TTI is local to me.

Its a Chevy. I want to say its the biggest you can go with a regular deck big block but there may be some new stuff I haven't seen that lets you go bigger. The tall decks that let you get silly cubic inches also require some pretty expensive parts to make them work in a third gen.

They are tall decks, if I'm not mistaken. A lot of custom, meaning expensive, parts to make them work. I want to do the whole car, including paint, for 25K.

wow, thats funny ****, partially because i know an identical spot across from BK and McDonalds where the kids all chill, right down the road from a good spot for roll races. I could almost see this happening. Scott put a big *** soccer mom sticker on the back!!!
I got 20 bucks says the kid riding shotgun was telling his buddy the wheelman it would be and easy kill, go for it. Then clowned him immediately haha

408 in a 2wd, it should go 11s in decent weather. Need a converter for sure to nail 11s. I'd say it would go high 11s though if it hooks up.

It is a 4X4. I will turn it into a 2X4 eventually or I'll really get crazy and slap some mud tires on it. noT A BIG FAN OF MUDDING THOUGH. I have zero idea what she will run. She is fast but doesn't seem to be putting down what I thought it should do. It could be that I am used to the insanity which is the TA though. I get in my buddies cam only cars and it doesn't even pump my blood. So I could just be immune to fast.LOL
I need to get to Ed and have him work on the shifts for me. She holds the shift to long.....WAYYYYYY to long and it doesn't feel real firm either. If I was to guess......right now......high 12's. It has 11 poential but stock 243's, stock manifolds and exhaust, stock intake are killing it power wise. I also have a stock stall. That doesn't help at all.
I built this 408 and spent 3500 doing it myself all together. The eengine is also capable of sucking my injectors dry as they too are stock. I am not sure if the injector tops are different on the LS2's and up from our LS1 stuff. I know the connectors are. If my 36#ers will work I have that issue solved.
I have a FAST intake with the Money Maker plumbed in. I am trying to sell that and my stage 3 heads. They don't sell.........................BAM 100 rwhp more.

Good kill story. I seldom come in here and read them, but yours was worth it.

What's up with the Bundeswehr front plate?

My wife is from Germany and her friend, who she met here, that is from her neck of the woods funny enough, gave it to her.
