An LSX catera would make a great sleeper, but I don't think a stock catera is that light...

You should still do it though.

Yipp i needs one of those too. The object of this build was to put it all together for 3500 bucks. I came in under that figeure. That's right boys and girls, you too can have a 408 (new short block mind you) for under 3500 bucks installed. That was my goal. Mission accomplished. I reused the stock upper end which came with 243 heads and the throttle body is already huge. Now I am going to turbo it for under 1500 bucks. I will have 5k in this build. Now the tranny..........ima gonna have to spend good cash there. so what say 2k on a 4l80 and 700+rwhp. Yeah I like that!

Chev has made a Truck and Car version of the 10 bolt for a long time. the truck version came in all the half tons. its actually been upgraded like 5 times since it came out. after the f bodys were over it got 2 more ugrades. one for good measure then another when they started putting V8,s in the TB/Envoy. its now rather strong, RELATIVELY SPEAKING. Its still a ten bolt at heart.

started @ 7 inch, then 7.5, then 7.63 ( our version) then 8 inch-New TB/Envoy, then the one i think scott has. Hell my 98 z71 suburban had a ten bolt with 4:1 in the transfer case i beat hell and high water out of it and it survived......for a while

LOL I do have Whitey sitting in my driveway. My 96, white, peeling paint, 260k, 305, original 700r4, truck I could go 427 with. Whitey is an old PSO truck. I love that truck paint, dents, no carpet and all.
