Exclamation M3 Race..Help

Well very simply i am 18 years old and i go to high school. This kid in school is talking **** saying that his stock 2003 M3 will beat me so we have these confrontations that almost turn into fights. Here is my problem..i absolutely need to show him that i will take that piece of ****. On my 1998 camaro SS i have the SLP Air Lid, K&N Air Filter,Ported MAF ends,no catalytics,B&B Tri-Flo exhuast and the smooth bellows. What would you people say about my chances on me taking this car and how should i drive it?(if only you can feel the determination i have to beat this kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

those cars are pretty heavy themselves, i raced one before I had my airlid, it was close, but i pulled ahead by a car length, we went from a 60 roll though, idk from a dig, guess whoever launches better, we do have more power though...if u drive well, u should win no problem...good luck, let us know how it turns out

Launch it good and you should be fine. Just dont get anxious and spin.

step 1: launch
step 2: Drive like a ****
step 3: win race
step 4: laugh at him for spending 3 times the amount of money you did.

Is your car auto or stick? If you get ahead of him off the line you should take him easier.

it will have to be you outdriving him. hopefully he has a stick and cant drive. you just have to get him out of the whole and the win is yours!

His M3 is SMG. But what i have in mind is knowing that if off the line i can take him he is gone..My SS is also stick. (Although he has an SMG trust me when i tell you that he can put it to it's potential!)

Scarecrow took my idea. Throw the bottle on there (even one of those nitrous in a bag systems) ... then rip him apart.

With your mods, it is going to be a very very close race.

Nitrous = $350-500 bucks ... when used right perfectly safe, and lots of fun.

From a roll, I think you got him. From a dig, it is whoever launches better(probably him with the SMG). They are decently fast but not as fast as an LS1. You also got him on the torque side of things too. If you can drive, my money would be on you.

My friend's stock 6 speed manual M3 ran 13.3 bone stock, I guess you have to out drive that computer in order to beat this guy with significant amount. My advice? get more mods before race against him, you wouldn't want him to talk smack in your class do you. good luck

No ones asking the obvious here, what the hell is a highschool kid doing with an M3???? He certainly didn't earn it himself. His parents must be absolutely loaded!

But, like they all said, watch the spin, but make sure your giving it enough at the launch. Practice a few launches somewhere before you race.

and then DECIMATE HIM!

i kinda have to say do a line start... my firend has an m3 we go almost every day on our way home from work.. off the line if i get traction i pull on him till 3rd gear. he tends to catch up a little till high 3rd then i pull on him again. the only diffrence between our cars is i have headers. but then again i have flowmaster exaust witch restricts me a little. and i dont have ported maf ends.
hook up is gonna be the key for you.
and like my dad always told me
"you gonna race some one make shure its for enough $ to cover any tick youd get, make shure you have him on horse power, and make damn shure you got a blue bottle just in case"

my dads the ****

No, that's rediculous. I sincerely hope he was borrowing Dad's cars. Even then that's still rediculous.
