Pretty much. I could never take myself seriously driving around in a riced up Honda, regardless of whether it was fast or not.

Riced up? It just looks like a stock civic, lowered with some wheels. Thats hardly riced up... Its not my thing, but it would whoop up on a lot of the cars on this site.

a friend has an EK hatch with K20 swap on it, and believe it or not run side by side with another friend 04 GTO, very respectable car around the area

They are just mad that their 12 second, or slower, LSX cars get beat up by Hondas. I don't like Hondas either but damn a fast car is a fast car. Now I'll sit back and wait until one of them calls me a nutswinger and explains why its stupid to modify a Honda, or any other Japanese car. Then someone will call them retarded again. Then the thread will get locked. Its just the natural progression of any thread that includes an import that Wesman and the other import haters participate in.

If this was an Evo thread, **** would be blowing up. I haven't seen Wesman post in a while...his stuff is entertaining though. Some stuff I do agree on with him...but for the most part, I do like well done hatches, Evo's, Skittles, ect ect.
Rice was originally a term coined for imported cars from Japan. Apparently you weren't around during this era, or I'm sure you would remember that. So basically you're trying to alter the original defintion.
You can "rice out" any car - European or American. Basically a "riced out" car is one that made to look Asian. Meaning stupid wings, sideways fart cans, horrible exhaust notes, tacky body kits, ect.
As far as modifying a Honda Civic, I'm sorry but thats really rice. You're taking a practical economy car and trying to turn it into a race car, which is somthing that is was never designed to be. And when you try and do the exact opposite of what a car was designed to do, it doesn't end up working out very well in most cases.
Fbodies were not designed to be "race cars" either. If they were then the rears wouldn't blow up under stock power output. That's the point of modifying cars, to take them and improve them to be what you want. Not saying everyone has to love every car, but a fast car is a fast car and should be given credit. Why is a 10 second LS1 fbody impressive (approximately 3 second improvement over stock) but a 10 second Civic is gay (approximately 5-6 second improvement)?
Yeah, whenever I see someone daily driving a mint Grand Prix GTP with leather interior and a few toys that runs 12's or very easy 13's the first thing I think is that it's gay

As I said this car doesn't have any spoilers, large tips, crazy body kits, or out there paint. If it did I would be talking **** about it with all of the inbred people in this thread. In the end the car is still super reliable, and gets exceptional mpg... it just happens to be quicker then most people in this thread.
If we all messed around with the same cars then it would be boring. This guy just happened to want to make a Civic fast, and surprise some unsuspecting Vettes. If you guys can't respect that then you are pretty ignorant in my opinion.
