lol you are the one thats getting defensive. Do you want a hug?
Fbodies were not designed to be "race cars" either. If they were then the rears wouldn't blow up under stock power output. That's the point of modifying cars, to take them and improve them to be what you want. Not saying everyone has to love every car, but a fast car is a fast car and should be given credit. Why is a 10 second LS1 fbody impressive (approximately 3 second improvement over stock) but a 10 second Civic is gay (approximately 5-6 second improvement)?
F-bodies are sports cars. They were never FWD, never designed to save gas, and never came with 4 doors.
A Honda Civic is a FWD commuting appliance designed to save fuel, not go fast. You're trying to act like they both can do the same things, and its not even close.
I give plenty of fast cars credit, just not stupid ricers. In fact, helped my friend built up his Honda Civic "bubble" with his B18 turbo. I don't care for those cars, but I helped him with a few things on it anyway because we are friends. Do you know how it turned out?? It blew up 3 times (rod bearings, cracked pistons, bad head), he rebuilt it, then it blew an axle at the track (his best time was 14.0 @111, notice the problem?), then it threw a rod when he was going down the highway. And on top of that, it got poor fuel economy and was impossible to DD due to no power steering, stage 4 clutch, and being lowered. It not sits in his barn and rots, and he decided to built up his 79 Camaro, which has a 383 and is going much better. It helps to start with a platform thats designed to go fast, as opposed to one thats designed for city commuting.
All that needs to happen now is the lock and I have predicted the future. LOL! This **** gets old. For all the import haters, can we just let it stand that you hate imports and won't be happy no matter how fast they are. All you have to do is admit that there are imports that are faster than your slow pieces of ****. Then we can all move on and you can spew your hate to yourself for not being able to build a fast car.

So here is a question for everyone. What about cars like S2k's, 370z's and Gt-r's? They aren't fwd, 4 doors, or have an economical base car varient that you would get groceries in. Do those cars have potential? Are those considered rice? Or is it strickly an "American Made" thing?
I have a G37 that is RWD, V6, 6-Speed, 2 Door that puts down 308RWHP. Honestly it keeps up with my stock WS6.
I respect anything that is fast, whether I'd drive it or not is a different story.
