Well, i finally bought a camaro yesterday. 2001 z28 bright red t-top. Basically bone stock besides the flowmaster catback(). I get home and even tho i already hadn't slept that night before and made a 4 hour drive to get the car, i decide to go downtown with some friends to show off the new ride. After cruising around for awhile, the cops finally got onto my *** for revving it up and gave me a warning, so we figured it was time to leave. On the way back, i pull up at a stop light, and what pulls up to me but an 03-04 model nissan altima, bone stock (looked like my grandma's old car..), and starts jumpin on the brakes like he wants to race. I wasn't going to but he was in my lane and i needed to get over lol. so after blowing him away on the street, we turn onto the highway and of course the kid tries the ricer flyby...so i let him pass me a little, drop into 2nd and smash it, and finally let off once the kid is about 20 lengths behind me... People told me that once i got a camaro, everyone would try to race me, but damn, an Altima??? shiitttt.....

 

was it atleast a 3.5 powered Altima?

 

Who knows. Didn't try to look. Next thing you know my friend is gonna try me in his '07 pt cruiser haha

 

sounds like a lot of wasted gas..but atleast you'll get used to your car I guess

Just thought i'd break her in, not much of a street racer tho. I'll sacrifice 8 bucks to run at the strip instead of the price of tickets/insurance.

Never been to shadyside, been to Greer tho. I'm gonna wait til i get a few little odds and ends on the body straightened up, maybe some better wheels and wider tires, and a few little bolt-ons. Gotta get rid of this flowmaster catback before anything else...gonna try to get the bodykit taken off and have the holes filled and painted soon too.

 

Hey OP, does your car have the factory RS bodykit? If so, I had the same one on my car and took it off 2 days after I bought it because it made the car look fat and I hated it! It looks so much better without it! But yes definately get the holes filled because they look like ****...I still need to do it to mine.

If he has GU2/2.73s... 2nd gear is perfect for interstate rolls

 

I took a ride in a 99 TA M6 yesterday and he made a point of showing me that at 70 mph in 6th gear he drops it down to second. He immediately threw it into third and then 4th and let off at 135...He has 4.11 gears and it seemed to work fine for him...

 

I'm calling major bs if he's stock

Yea i've got the 2.73's for now. It wasn't exactly the highway yet, it was a 4 lane road known as highway 276 but its not like an interstate. I dropped into 2nd goin about 45 mph.

My buddy is comin back in a few days and says he wants to race me in his nitrous accord, think it'll be a better challenege but still not able to beat me even in stock form.

 

He has an A4 people.

The auto drops to second at anything 70 and under and goes to about 80+

Unless you took it as he ACTUALLY pulled the shifter back to drop it down, then yes, that's stupid.
