Doug, you don't want to race the ZR1 past 150. Up to 150, and given that you have a tire on the car, I think you might win given your P:W. But, past 150, gearing will take over and the ZR1's 5th gear ratio is .81:1, much better than the Z06's. This is the first time ever that a Corvette doesn't fall flat on it's face when shifted into 5th gear, but again, that's due to the shorter gearing.

Yes, Jorday's car is in the shop as we speak and will be back by the end of August (at least that is the ETA). When it comes back, it will be a 140 mph car through the traps and I will be sure to post the 60-200 mph race video between us. Stay tuned....

I hear ya on the going past 140 or 145 mph. The top of 4th is about as much as I can handle considering the FRC's m6 gearing. I'd need a 125 shot that activates in 5th (hmmmm) just to maintain against a zr1.

Is it possible to run a shot in just 5th ? Any conerns ?

I won't be part of that one. LOL. You guys are way ahead of me for sure. I'd need a good sized shot just to have a chance.

What tires ?

Me? If so...M&H drag radials. They make a 28" tire that will fit on my stock
wheel. This is the only 28" drag radial that will fit a 17x9 wheel that I'm
aware of. I desperately need the tire height to compensate for my 3.90
gear.

I'm sure I will. I want the 3.55's back. In the meantime, I need a tire
with enough sidewall to hook on the street. We'll see. You know the story...
it's a forever-changing setup.

Thanks for the response unit, but I was actually wondering what tires are on Fadi's Gallardo, and Jorday's ZR1.

Unit, those tires look like they grab like a kleptomaniac Department store without cameras. Nice !!!

Pirelli Rosso. It is not a very good tire and the tread wear is not very good, either. I will be changing my tires with some Toyo's very soon.

So those tires are good for the 200+ runs. I was just wondering. I was sure a LAMBO's oem had be something pretty nice.
