I would bet money on him having a really sloppy shift. My car's trapped 108 and that's shifting into 4th right at the traps. The extra 20+ mph we had taking it to 130, and the messy shift could make up 3mph, no? Trust me before it happened I was the last person to expect that outcome.

I'll hit you with a text so you have my number Nick.

I dont think they made a silver car in 95 I might be wrong though. I think silver might of been a 97 on color. If it had loud exhaust it was obvesely modded stock vipers are quiet. It should be a 115mph car. My friends car is a 98 GTS it trapped 120 in 85 degree weather. We think its a 122 mph car when it cools off. Its possable but unlikely.

Nah that (215)431 # is right. just didn't know if you ever had it to begin with.

Not sure if it was a 95 just put that when I made the thread. For sure was a first gen though.

The 1992-1995 RT10 vIPERS ARE AS FAST AS THE 2006 c6'S.....

tHEY WILL TYPICALLY RUN 12.9 AT 111 MPH. BUT A FEW HAVE GOTTEN INTO THE 12.4 AT 115 MPH RAGE...

ID SAY IN AVERAGE CONDITIONS WITH A AVERAGE DRIVER A 12.8-13.1 AT 108-112 MPH CAR..

AMAZINGLY FAST BACK IN 1993....NOTHING SO SPECIAL TODAY...

GOOD KILL OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOW IF IT WAS A 1996 THEN THIS WOULD BE A TOTALLY DIFFERANT SITUATION. dESPITE THE RATING OF ONLY 450 HP FOR A 1996 VRS 400 HP FOR A 1995...tHE GEN 2 1996-2002 CAR WERE MUCH MUCH MUCH FASTER. REGURLY TRAPPING IN THE 117-120 MPH RANGE AND 11.9'S WAS NO PROBLEM FOR THESE CARS. WHILE 12.2 WAS AVERAGE..

AGAIN GOOD JOB KILLIN THAT SNAKE...

BTW..WHAT KIND OF NUMBERS CAN YOUR CAR RUN IN STOCK FORM AND WHAT DO YOU HAVE DONE TO IT?

What the hell is wrong with you people??? 12.8-13.0 is NOT deep 12's and not even close to a C6 ZO6 (which is really the competitor to the Viper); and there are several stock reg C6's in the mid-low 12's. And WTF with all the Wiki nutswinging???

I see you wrecked two Vipers...driver mod anytime soon??? Damn dude, READ THE THREAD he tells you what he's had done to it in the thread and in his sig. Try Rosetta Stone english version.

He put c6'S not Z. For sure it was a 4th gen though killem. has nothing like this popped up on the dodge boards?

Never ran it stock, knew I'd be disappointed solely on how ***** the stock TCM tune was. Only after the tune, stock exhaust 13.02 @ 106 and a 13.05 @ 108. But like I said that's with shifting into 4th right before/at the traps, or running 3rd out after it's done making power...

Those are all the 2010 camaro owners. They're masters of power/weight ratios, something they've never had to worry about.

yeah cause you take power/weight ratio's to the bank when you're racing on the street See the same thing on the G8board I'm a mod on. Atleast there I can shut them up.

True dat. I'm a firm believer in the gearing trumps weight "ratio".

forgot the other factor, powerband.. that's an old viper with probably a 1500-5500 powerband. that's a guess...

Yep, and 3200lbs was heavy for a roadster. Those were track cars and would beat you senseless on the street (I can relate ugh) but pulled +1g on the track.

However, the G8 is a marvel of a sedan. I'm sure he felt bad...

Those Vipers are very hard to launch on street tires due to an abundance of low speed torque and independent rear suspension, and as a result you tend to see some poor e.t.'s out of them. A guy that use to frequent the track years ago had a '92 that was consistantly in the 12.70-12.80 @ around 112 in stock form.

I'm suprised you were able to catch him at those speeds, especially with him having a 1.5 car lead to begin with. Anyways good kill nonetheless!

lol For those people who are not believing it, I do. That year viper would run low high 12s with a good driver and traction. I would think low 13s is more reasonable. They can't hook for ****..

Oh and another thing. Assuming that car had the original paint it couldn't have been anything before 1998, as that was the first year the Viper was offered in Silver. Which would mean it was a Gen 2 450-hp car which is good for low 12's at close to 120mph stock. Just thought i'd point that out.

Bottom line, it was a good race and you pulled. That's a nice car you have, BTW, are they rear wheel drive?

yea..id be damn proud of that kill.....A 106-108 mph trapping car like his G8 is pretty fast...sure you read about 120-130 mph trapping cars all the time over the internet. But in real life a car that you actually took to the track and trapped 108 mph in will hold it's own against 90% of the daily cars you will encounter...

It's just that dayum other 10%....

BTW...I ment the 2005-2007 base C6's were a even match for the 92-95 viper...Not a C6Z06..It takes a 1996-2002 viper with bolt ons plus a tune just to hang with a stock C6Z06..Ask me how I know...
