theres still ALOT more i can do. i have a mid lenth header now for top end power and am running 60lbs injectors. I am waiting on a 2.5 pulley should be making around 18lbs of boost with it. i might even do a stage one head from ZZP. check this this LSJ out

POS? i wouldnt call the LSJ or LNF a POS... lots of power can be made from both motors... i mean i started of with 205hp crank now am making over 270WHP+ with a few bolt ons

Kind of weird. I stomped the *** out of a Cobalt SS with a Stage 2 not too long ago in my GTO.

i wouldnt call it an "LS based" motor at all. lets see, it has more than 1 cam, 4 less cylinders, etc. you get the point. it has LS in the name, thats all.

im assuming the LNF is the SS/TC motor, so no that isnt a pos. youre motor isnt all that stout though. anything with a blower/turbo can be made faster with very little mods. i wouldnt call a car putting ~205 stock to the wheels with a blower very impressive, but i wouldnt call it weak either. and that part i bolded, you dont seem to know your own motor very well. i thought it was well know that whatever GM says about the LSJ (as in crank hp) is actually what it makes at the wheels?

that link lists that LSJ as this:
Tim dyno's 367WHP with stock M62 blower on new ZZP stroker motor

ZZP 2.3L stroker bottom end w/ 11:1 compression

ZZP electric water pump

ZZP single pass IC

ZZP 15 row single pass HE

ZZP 2.6" modular pulley system

ZZP LS4 TB

ZZP intake

ZZP mid-length header/downpipe 1.75" stainless

80# injectors

ZZP fuel pump rewire

E85 fuel

ZZP stage 1 ported head with 78 lb valve springs
Comp cams custom ZZP camshafts
ZZP AC delete
ZZP stage 4 clutch

a ported head, cammed, stroker, full bolt on car basically. i would hope it could pick up 160whp. LSx motors will do that easily, even with no blower.

i know this probably came off as me being a dick, but im having a shitty day & im just trying to get a few points across. sorry in advance. no harm meant.

Good kill! Those Ion redlines are badass little cars. I always thought they looked better than the Cobalt SS, but I don't like the center gauges.

Not understanding the hatred they are getting on here. I don't recall the Cobalt getting shitted on like this and it's the same car...

wow, yes i know about my motor the "LS" thing was a joke,i guess you didnt get it, ya i know its prob about 205 to the wheels stock. some put down even more stock. no one said anything about 205WHP being impressive. i just thought it would be cool to try something diffrent,i bought my ion for 12grand 2 years ago i could of bought a LS1 fbody but i didnt.

BTW this is a 114MPH traping car but it only runs high 13's lol

i say try some suspension first. thats a pretty good trap if you can get it to the ground. DRs should be enough if you set up the suspension right.
