Trap speed is affected VERY VERY VERY little between a bad/average driver and a good driver. Usually it is withing 1-3mph.. From what I have seen from these cars seems you can drive pretty decently.. Also you spin.
Since you are spinning I automatically knock off 2-3 mph.. I won't even factor in if you are a good driver or not. All you have been able to produce is a 109 and 111mph pass.. Both spinning very badly..
So it looks like my statement of 107-109 with a good drive is right on mark.

Net racing at its finest..
I could care less what it is racing... this does NOT look like a 114mph trapping car.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8-69t5S-vY

Ate to pieces by a mild bolt on lt1.. I would be surprised if this lt1 could outrun an ls1, especially from a roll.
I'm just trying to point out that what you are claiming your car runs is WAY faster than what most actually run..
Here is one more..

my car is not "stage 2" and i know nothing about the cars you posted videos off, my stage2 bolt on LSJ put down 270WHP alone. but dyno numbers mean nothing here. So i guess the car is not what i say it is because a few people say its not and have seen the car in person. Oh and the random videos of ion and cobalts people have posted here. Thats like saying every LS1 is the same. If your close to michigan your more then welcome to come watch me race this weekend. Lots of pretty fast cars around here... you will seee all kinda stuff from 11 sec 3800 feiros to 1000HP lambos <fadi> lol

Also, a 109mph trapping car is what your car looks like it is when racing the camaro, not a 114mph..
All in all man, I honestly am VERY impressed with your car along with some of the Ions I saw on youtube and what not.. I have no reason to fear an Ion or anything like that but I definitely have some respect for them. Keep up the good work!

Yes, it most definitely does.. But spinning also raises the trap by a lot.. Therefore I would say your car traps around 107-109mph.. Respectable for sure, but not 114mph.

Spinning does wonders for MPH.. It will make a car look much faster than it is capable of.

Man.. That is a mid 11 second pass 1/4 mile with traction.. I'm sorry but there is NO way a 300rwhp Ion is capable of hitting a mid 11 second pass..
It is col if you are looking at trap speeds while dead hooking.. That actually shows something.. But if you are looking at cars spinning through the sixty foot with a 2.2 or higher sixty it will make the car seem like it has much more potential than it really does..
ALL IN ALL!!!! ETs are the only thing that matter!

This is my point.. a stock TC SS will look stupid racing a full bolt on M6 Ls1 from a roll.. and they usually trap around 112mph..
Spinning does wonders for MPH.. It will make a car look much faster than it is capable of.
So you have hit 114mph trap speeds.. and your saying with a smaller pulley it should hit what? 117-118?

dude the car is nuts for what it is.. I am pretty sure with spray i can trap
118MPH+ on just a 50 shot 100 shot i can spray my way into the 11's no prob
every 5 pounds of boost on my car makes about 6 to 7 extra HP. Thats alot of power for a car that only weighs 2700lbs. am making about 15lbs right now on a 2.8 pulley am guessing from what i here is=t should jump to about 18 1/2 pounds on a 2.5 plus with the header
dude its nothing new about theses cars check out ZZP site. they have built some bad *** LSJ/LNF cars, i might look into there race block with cams once i get my student loans
TVS just released a new blower for the LSJ. guys are putting down like 300WHP from a blower swamp ALONE

That's basically the point that should be appreciated by readers of this thread. I think the OP probably realizes that if he engages in a modfest versus an LSX-powered vehicle, he's dead, pure and simple. That isn't the issue. I, for one, am impressed with those cars, "for what they are," and I'm glad GM has a couple 4-bangers to compete with the imports and Skittles of the world.

A Bolt on tuned (stock turbo) LNF Balt should trap 115+ and would walk/run away from a bolt on ls1 TA, camaro, GTO from a roll.. Ive seen it plenty of times.. Now from a dig its a different story..

GM has really step there game up in the tuner market. its a damn shame they killed the LSJ/LNF platform. they need there asses whooped. You CANNOT beat the price of theses cars. come on 20 grand for a LNF cobalt which is a high 13 secound car stock. a tune and catback and it runs low 13's

The fact that this Ion trapped 111 spinning shows that it would beat any stock or near stock LS1 from a roll. We all know that NO stock Fbody LS1 will trap 111, EVEN if it's spinning.
The guy posted vids, time slips, and he still gets denied. Get over it, his car is faster than a stock LS1. I have seen it over and over again as we hang out on a regular basis. What do you expect from an ~300 whp, 2500 lb. Ion vs. a ~300 whp, 3400 lb. Fbody??
