eh, i dont know about that one. use this for refrence:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1bFWPrSEJnI&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1bFWPrSEJnI&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
thats the RECORD @ 134 (with a 5000 stall no less). 142 is damn near 8s. 129 is for sure deep 10s. id say 115-125 is a a good trap for a H/C, leaves room big or small setups, susp & rear differences, and m6 or a4.

That's basically the point that should be appreciated by readers of this thread. I think the OP probably realizes that if he engages in a modfest versus an LSX-powered vehicle, he's dead, pure and simple. That isn't the issue. I, for one, am impressed with those cars, "for what they are," and I'm glad GM has a couple 4-bangers to compete with the imports and Skittles of the world.

Is it just me or does it look like the SS pulled back almost half the distance at the end?
I regular cobaltss.net and I can't remember seeing a stock blower (with out spray) run higher then a 111 trap.
I have seen going to far in the smaller pulley direction is bad too and doesn't do anyhting for power since it is maxed out.
OP, are you ported?
I pulled 2 cars on a modded stage 2 cobaltss (270+ whp) with my stock GTO many times from 20-110 and 40-120. (LS2 M6)
A stock TC can't trap 112 (I think i saw someone post that).
A tuned and fully bolted TC can trap 114 (highest I have seen) and they have over 330whp though and are more efficient.
Some of this sounds far fetched, and the video is shakey and I swear I see the SS pulling back in the big end which always happens above a 100 with a LS motor versus the cobalts/Ion's (LS motors just have the bigger lungs and better non-economy car gearing).
That's my 2 cents...

ok you got me! do you really think a normal M62 car will trap that high haha
i have a rare cobalt time attack blower, but still only thing diffrent are the rotors in the blower. the case is the same...... So running a smaller pulley wont really hurt me as much as a normal m62 car
SO YES THE CAR DID TRAP 114
the coated header is the new one thats going on today..... i hope it makes a diffrence. that shorty is really choking the car up top. you can see the size diffrence, and now the car is going to be catless

My buddy has a lsj that put down 285whp on a dynojet. look at the pounding in the vid my ls1 put on a regal gs that has a ported blower, vs cam, 3.2 pulley. The lsj and the gs were a close race, the lsj got him by 2 cars to 120. Hell my buddy's stock g8 gt pulls the lsj up top. I need to put my waders on because the **** is getting deep in this thread lol!!

Here is a vid of the 285whp ion racing a 115-117 trap evo.
