While I wont admit to being an expert driver of a manual car, I would say average, I didnt miss a shift if thats what youre thinkin. It seems like somethings up with my car though. It seems to run ok, but I ran (3) 12.8 passes @ 110, 1.9 60s, before the cam with stock motor, LS6 intake, LTs, DRs & 3.73s. I added a 228 cam & dynotune & squeezed a 12.5 & a few 12.6s @ 111. Thats with very similar 60s (1.8-1.9s) & motor has 241 heads. Thats not a monster cam but still seems like I should be trappin 115. Maybe the cam needs to be degreed, I havent had much time to do this. This weekend I ran 12.8s, terrible holeshots though, launchin it too hard. Slowlsj did improve his 1/4 times, first time I ever saw that car run 13.4 & 2.0 60s, but his traps were mostly 105s. I dont know what he trapped on that run. He raced a stock 05 ish Mustang GT that day, they were dead even but he did barely beat it, ran a 13.8 that time. From a roll its tough to beat, but from a dig, its at a disadvantage. Thats one of the reasons I got a camaro, RWD doesnt have that problem quite as bad. He did just finally get some much better tires, hes been runnin on some shitty ones for a while now. BTW, yes spinning can cause you to trap high. Last year a guy in a highly modded integra ran a 13.6 @ 116 with a 2.6 60. I am sure thats why some of his traps are in the 110 range.
That is more simple bolt on time.. You should most definitely be trapping in the 115mph range, maybe higher.
I trap 91.5mph in the 1/8 with a 226 cam and I'm a stalled auto..

On the net, **** always runs record times. In real life, for every dude who runs a record time for his mods there is 30 other dudes that cant make the same **** happen if their life depended on it.

Anything can happen on the street.

Wat?

yup...... people really dont understand that this car started off with 205WHP! not 260WHP like the new cobalts. i picked up over 85WHP with a few simple bolt ons... i find that pretty damn impressive myself! my next move is head work

2.1 60ft is pretty good for theses cars, its very hard to drive them

Didn't I see that it wasn't the normal SC that comes on the Ions?

The internals are different with the same housing, correct?

i stayed away from this thread for a few days. but i noticed that now that header was installed and you still didnt trap 114, which is kinda what lemons might be hinting at......at least, i think?

also, picking up alot of hp from bolt ons is alot easier to do when you have FI. Terminatiors will do that all day, like 100+ on the stock blower, so really 85 isnt all that out of the ordinary for a s/c car. for ls1, thatd be insane.

idk, i give up on this thread. it isnt really going anywhere until we get a new video up.....HINT HINT!

What do you mean where am I trying to go with it.. You don't have a stock supercharger and that is what started all this.. I stated at the begenning that I didn't see an Ion trapping that speed on a stock untouched supercharger.. Which you don't have.. Just like an ls1 with a lid is not "stock", it is modded.

This makes anything that you have claimed possible with your "stock" blower car totally irrelevant and false information.

That was another very large point... And even more so amusing because not only does he have the header AND not stock blower, he still didn't hit the claimed 114mph.

+1.

Stock is gas in the tank, and your *** in the seat. That's it.
