Modded S4 Raced a guy i know yesterday in his Upgraded Turbo, Intake, Exhaust, Downpipe etc S4. First race i figured i would have him so i shifted at 6. Wrong....got my *** kicked. Second race i launched hard and shifted where i should have in the first place and barely got him by half a car doing a 40-140. Thats one frickin fast family car

s4 is really an underrated car. stock, with a good driver, i hear they are capible of breaking into the 13s. i don't know that for sure, but i saw my friend run a 14.8s with 5k miles on the odometer, with a passenger in the car, and he pretty much had no idea how to drive it.
6000rpm AWD launches are impressive to see. although i pity his poor poor clutch.. heh.

kev don't blame the automatic, blame the torque converter. i've been testing on and off whenever i can finding exactly what mph the stock converter jumps best from a roll. so far i've found 25mph to be a hell of an awesome jolt, and 60-65mph to be pretty good as well. 45 is so/so. 35 and 55 are both HORRIBLE. i'm not suprised you got your *** handed to you. ugh stupid stock converter.

I work with a guy who has a bi-turbo s4 - decent family cars. mid-high 14s with the tiptronic auto, and another buddy got his manual s4 to run a 13.9!
