mach 1 vs 01 z06
A buddy of mine has been wanting to race me for a while he has an 03 ,ach 1 with shorty headers intake exhaust and tune and driver mod. My z06 is stock. Race 1 is from a dig i spun way too much but still pulled him to 100 by 3 cars. Next race from a dig again this time i laid off at about 80 and had him by 2 cars. Our final race was from a 40 roll which apparently is his strongest roll from 40-120 i put 2 to 3 cars on him. I was pretty happy with the results now hopefully il find an 03 cobra thats pretty stock

Not really....he had weight AND power advantage (I'd say a good ~60RWHP). THe op's buddy was a moron for thinking he had a chance (and for installing shorties - classic n00b move).
Nice kill OP..I wouldn't have expected anything else.

300/310 sounds about right.......feel free to tell him he wasted an ASSLOAD of time and money installing 'shorties'. This isn't a 5.0.

Good kill on the Mach!
I agree. Maybe the guys thought it was a regular vette?

A CAR?.....ONE car?.... ARe these primarily HOnda guys you are talking too? Look I love Mach 1s..I kept one over my CObra, But I'm not delusional about them. A light bolt on, stock geared mach would get walked by a Z06.

EDIT: you did say dig...but still, IDK man. He must have not been a good C5Z driver. I've seen them be driven crappy to a high 12, but 12.5s aren't unusual for those. Pretty much the norm actually...low mid 12s.

Um....then I'll have to toss the BS flag on a fellow macher. Sorry, but no how, no way with 3.55s, light bolt ons, tune (hell even LTs) would a mach stay door to door with a C5Z in a roll...UNLESS he was playing with you...or it was a C5 dressed as a Z....which is pretty common.
