My C5Z vs Porsche Carrera GT I'm pretty sure it was a Carrera GT. Anyway, got my car out the shop today with a custom cam put in it, haven't tuned for the cam yet. I've been driving my car trying to get a feel for it again since its been about 2 months since I sat in it. I leave my friends house and start driving towards mine where upon the way home I see the Porsche. I pull up next to it, he taps the throttle so I figure he wants to race. I honk the horn 3 times, I give him the start then I step on it, quickly leaving him in the dust, dunno how many car lengths, but it wasn't pretty. I slow down, he does a gay little ricer flyby and cuts me off so I figure he wants his **** pushed into the ground again. I follow him, he makes a few turns and pulls over to the side of the road so I pull up next to him. He proceeds to roll down the window so I say "hey man thats a nice car". He replies with "your car is loud" (which im running stock exhaust) so I say, "I guess, its modified some", he replies "congratulations, your car is loud" and claps. So I say "oh my car is only loud huh? We can race again for money if you want. I'd love to see your cute car in my rear view mirror again." Then he got pissed and rolled up his window. I thought it was pretty funny to be honest.

ha ha ha......Hey man....honestly If you were driving a 26K mustang or somthing I could see him being such a deuce about getting raped..But a Z06 in it's own right is a 52-73K car depending on year...Hardly a cheap nonthing and also with a internet and mag as well as street reputation that it has he needed to just take the beating with dignity....
A C5Z06 pulling up to you in what ever your riding is still a nice looking ride...Arguably a nicer ride in my eyes then most P cars...

According to wiki, the 997 GT2 ran an 11.4 @127.9 0-60 3.4 seconds....
the 993 had 450hp the 996 had 462 hp 997 had 525hp 3175lbs top speed 206 and another 1/4 result for the 997 shows 11.3@129.1
Sooooo....regardless of which one it was, that's pretty damn awesome!! given it only has a 3.6 liter sooo really that car is a lot more efficient and dare I say probably even better then our beloved LS1's......Porsche has always been one of my favorite kinds of cars !!

Well I like how quiet my car is at idle which is why I've kept the exhaust stockso far. I have headers and no cats, but I have the stock H-pipe and mufflers.
Mods for 577/518 were
Paxton novi2000
60lb mototron fuel injectors
lg pro longtube headers
methanol injection
spec stage 3+ clutch
spec aluminum flywheel
short shifter
I added
Custom ground comp cam (untuned for it) but its not much diff from the stock cam, in take, lift, and exhaust isn't much diff but i've seen guys gain 50-70rwhp from the cam, being tuned of course.
New valve springs and a double roller timing chain, which i know doesn't do anything for performance. Lol
On a side note, I did buy my friends c6z h-pipe and mufflers for $40. His h-pipe is 3 inches while mine is 2.5 and the mufflers have butterfly valves so I was gonna see if I'd be able to bolt that up. Would gain some power but still sound quiet during idle.

Nice kill. When are you getting it tuned and dynoed for the new cam? I'd like to see what it puts down and how it runs at the track. My buddy just got his car tuned for a D1 (347 in his C5 Z06) and he jumped from 650 to 693rwhp and 611 rwtq.
