Default Found my first cobra

Hey guys, around my city (in canada) its rare to find 400 + hp cars, so when I do I make sure to get a run in

Today I was fortunate enough to get a run in with a newer 2.8 KB cobra. I'm like a kid on christmas day when I see another nice car around here lol. So we hopped on the highway and waited for a straightaway. GF was with me and hadn't been in the car with me yet during a race, so I was stoked (she's only seen the videos). Started from 50, and threw it in second and quickly got the hook. We both hit third and spun a little, and he spun again when he hit fourth. I was staying even most way through third, but then he started putting cars on me in 4th easily (regardless of spinning a bit). Pulled over and talked for a bit, anyway turns out his car is putting down 630 rwhp and yesterday he was running 11.1's trapping 130 on street tires His car was sick, I think he'd put me away no problem with the right conditions (cold day, foggy).

Wanted to see if he'd come out again this week so I could at least film the noble death, but his car is sold on tuesday

Anyway, had a blast, really cool guy. Glad I at least held up for a short while

My car: 99 ws6, cam, ls6 in intake, ptb, lid, cat back, headers.

That's what it's all a-boot (sorry, couldn't resist)! It's always nice when you run into a cool guy and get some good runs in.

Noble death. A vid would be sweet next time, nothing like a KB scream even though the larger blowers are not as loud as the 2.2's.

lol unit, luckily I lived in the US for 6 years so I am at least aware of it

blower sounded awesome, but again the traction issue was killin him. He still had issues with nitto dr's at the track.

Just for everyones info....there is only 1 PLACE IN CANADA [WHICH IS LARGER THAN THE U.S.] that they say A-BOOT......that is the Island of NEWFOUNDLAND,the most Eastern part of Canada. And there are only 20-25 thousand of them. Just informing those who don't know, and probably couldn't find their state on an unmarked map. ...................PS--I do not know if there is a NEWFIE Lurking A-Boot or not.......

I have friends in Windsor that say it like it's their job. Mostly when they go on holiday though.

Wholly hell that things got some serious scoot to it! Don't know my stangs that well: I assume that was a Termi? If not it does a helluva impression of one.

It could be or a regular Cobra with upgraded internals. Gotta love that KB whine.

Yep it was a termi, he picked it up out in California. Was in some mustang magazine before he bought it. There wasn't a spot of dirt in the engine bay, very clean car!
