Default Putting down the lame.

I was driving to the liquor store to stock up on beer. Saw a nice looking LT1 TA, sounded nice too. He revved at me, I think the LT1 sounds better than the LS engine, so I just gave a nod. We lined up and he is revving and carrying on like maybe I had bitten off more than I thought, he didn't let it idle so I could hear if he had a cam, but I started thinking this guy is on the jug at least. Anyway the light turns green and it was UGLY for him. I had mine at 1900 RPM's so I could hook when I dropped the clutch and keep the spinning down. I had a perfect launch, no spin, well except when I shifted to second, it got a bit of wheelspin and started to kick the rear out. I pedaled a bit and I look in the rearview and I'm not kidding I was up by about 3 cars. It got uglier for him. I got him by about 7 cars when I let up at about 110 mph. He was cool about it and we chatted when we pulled over. He had a stock LT1 with a CAI, headers and exhaust. The damn thing did sound good but it was more bark than bite. It was fun and the guy was cool about it.

LS6 with bolt ons is pretty quick in my book. Whats that like 450 crank HP? Thats no slouch by any means.

Good kill!

I don't honestly think I've ever seen any info on your car, haha. bolt LS6 is no joke for sure! What car do you have?

Hey, Jay, when did you pick up the new ride? It looks great, what's done to it so far?

Its a 01 WS6 convertible, six speed, LS6 crate engine, bolt ons and a LS7 clutch, tuned by Turbo Technology, Spohn adjustable torque arm, UMI lower control arms, panhard and subframe connectors. Just a slow cruiser, seriously its not fast by any stretch of the imagination. The only downside is since its a convertible its too fast to race at the track without a cage and I can't bring myself to chop it up. Before there is any confusion about that, convertibles have to have a roll bar at 13.49.
