I was driving home when all the sudden a red SRT4 comes up next to me blows off, I jumped on it for a quick sec and this kid's eyes got HUGE!! He yell's out "Lets do a 50!" So we slow to 50 ish I give him the hit and end up catching/passing him so fast it wasnt even funny. Then I look in my mirror and theres prolly 10 SRT's behind me? I guess they just left a meet or something...Anyways the red one ducks behind me and a blue one pulls up this time I ask for a 35 beep beep beep I jump out and put 2 on him by 80 but carried it up to 110 ish where I prob had 4-5 car's on him. By now Im outa gas so I pull into Sunoco and they pull in with me? I was getting gas as they all walked over to my car the guy in the blue SRT (stage 3 btw)ended being a ***** said his clutch was slipping and be out this weekend so he can take my dough. Next they all started saying "hey run the white one run the white one.... you wont beat it, its the fastest car in town!"I asked what was done to it the guy said built bottom end, spec 3 clutch,50 trim,meth injec,26 psi. We line up at 50 and we take off even then he starts pulling me hard prolly put 6-7 on me in the quickness lol.After that I asked for a dig he said no of course. So I just went to the house. Time for some spray I guess.

Cliff notes:
Raced a Red SRT4 an won.
Raced a Blue stage 3 srt4, put prolly 5 cars on him.
Raced a white srt4 w/ lots of mod's.....got killed.

 

All srt owners are like that. I've been harrassed by SRT's plenty of times, it doesnt matter how many of them you beat in a race they always send somebody faster to race you untill they win. Once one of them win they think they all won as a group and talk **** LOL. If none of them win they will dump a couple more grand in their car and hunt you down, you will always have a target on your back. BTW from my experience most of the people who drive skittles are dousches, they are all excuses.

I don't blame him. I don't even like doing a dig on the street. I can only imagine trying it with a FWD car.

 

If you learn to drive you will love racing from a dig.

 

I have no problem cutting 1.6's at the track on stock sized street tires. I haven't got a chance to test my slicks out. Racing on a dirty, non-prepped street makes for nothing more than a spinfest.

 

The street we were racing on was nice, it was just paved maybe a month ago and people have done digs there before and said it hooked pretty good. And even if you do spin, thats apart of racing....REAL racing is from a dig!!! not this roll ****

 

i agree with the dig portion.. racing is from one point to another... and they know they can't launch their fwd cars

 

racing is racing. roll or a dig. only wanting to do digs is like an excuse for lacking top end.

 

Good fight you put up. Time to turbo your GTO. For the longest I had a rollcall on my GTO that suggested me having just bolt-ons. Boy was the look on their face funny when they heard my twin tials and realized I was boosted. There are no stickers on my car now though. She's a sleeper.

Only time I dig race is at the track. The street is so filthy its a waste, on street tires. I prefer roll racing. Its the easiest on my driveline parts, being this a daily driver.

These stories make it sound like there is an unlimited supply of various colored neons ready to fight to the death until one is victorious--- then back to the hive to make the victory a universal feat... I know for a fact 490awhp (03 evo) will stick on the street rollin' on Advans. He leaves hard enough 95% of the cars he races just quit before he hits 50 lol.
It also put down a 1.5x with a non violent launch. If he WANTS to spin it on the street---he can.... but why?

One last thing for Mr. DSM.... IF you have a vent to atmosphere BOV ... Do you ever play with guys when you're racing and pop it RIGHT NEXT TO THEM IN THEIR OPEN WINDOW? Scares the poop out of them (a Corvette almost hit us when he jerked the wheel scared!)

 

The SRTs didn't prove anything.. From a dig every single one would have got walked on.

A car poorly set up for racing wants to go from a roll.. A car set up correctly and wisely wants to go from a dig.

 

A 1.5 sixty foot is nothing to brag about....
