Between exits that are 3 miles or longer.

Lets all be safe while doing high speed runs. Now Ive gone 155 mph in my Z. Surprisingly it wasnt as smooth as I wanted but it did it fairly easily. I didnt want to get greedy.

Isn't the limiter at 155? What is top speed stock w/out limiter, like 160ish? What have you done to your Z?

Welcome to the board.

Nothing is done but Nissan failed on the limiter. Nissan says for the 03-05 it is supposed to be 155 and 06 and up is 159. I have an 06 and its stock. The couple of times I did it was really quick because at those speeds you catch traffic quickly. But it pulls strong to 155 and my guess that on a good empty road a little over 160 would be it

I would have thrown my California duster out of my window as you passed. You could have swerved and crashed, or hit it and crashed. Either one would have me smiling.

Too bad I wouldve passed you only doing 80. I was hard on the brakes a good bit before I hit traffic.

Not real smart, guys...no matter what you think you can control. The fact of the
matter is that you can't control anything on a public road. Maybe you guys should
brush up on your Days of Thunder...control is an illusion.

i have gotten the TA up to about 155, and it was smooth as hell. i didnt even know i was going that fast. i quickly slowed down tho. I did hit about 130 today racing a m3, and again, my car feels smoother the faster i go for some reason. does ne one else feel this in their fbody?

Dark 4 lane highway I do it, About 3-4 in the morning on a week day like monday or wensday. I would never do it on the week ends because the clubs close and cops are out. The less traffic the better that way you only kill your self. Iv been 180+ gps time several times. I may see one or two cars on the road, Plus I use different streaches of highway, in other words I recon the sight that day and do my run that night. Even though you cant plan for the worst there are some risk in haulin *** on the high way. I all ways double check my tires and presure and make sure the car is running good. Im not sure how many people go through great leanths to break the law but I do lol, If im going to kill somebody it will be my self. I would never run past traffic at 130+ mph its just plain dumb. I will get along the wall hit it and hold it and go home.

So, you can do 155 stock but he can't do 170(ish) modded???

Stock limiter removed GTO's will do into the mid 160's. My mods would most likely put it into the 170's no problem. Autos have better gearing for top speed so can pull a few more mph than a stick. As far as near stock LT1's?? you are delusional if you think a basically stock LT1 is going 170mph.

hitting an animal at these speeds wouldn't be fun either
I am sure the deer and moose population are different per everyone's area, but up here doing above 100 is only slightly more "safe" in the day time because of deer. And if you ever hit a moose you can kiss your life goodbye, then again at these speeds you might just break there legs and keep on going

Also, I did 168 once, it felt smooth, but I don't think I had adequate breaks & suspension to travel faster than 120 safely...

I've honestly only gone up to 140ish mph... Mostly because of the fear of cops...

The SRT-4 only about 110...

... let me guess, the 150mph didn't bother you, but the passing on a double when I could see for over 1/2 a mile ahead scared you?

lol

^ You're exactly why I hate most crotch rocket owners. Doing stupid **** thinking you own the road. The only other time I've seen driving like that is from stupid ricers. Hopefully if you kill yourself out there you will be the only one to die. Good luck. And we all wonder why cops crack down on street racing. You sir, are a dumbass.
