First of all, my car trapped 106 bonestock, and probably traps anywhere from 113-116 now. Hopefully on the upperside of that spectrum. The competition is a bonestock R6 with a young rider. He is about 18, and is just an average rider. He has never pulled the wheels, so I know he probably can't launch the best due to being afraid of pulling the wheels. He claims to have run a 11.9 at the track. What are my chances from a 60-150 roll or what not. I know that bikes are easier to beat from a roll than from a dig with a good rider, but I'm hoping if we race from 60-150 it'd give me an opportunity to at least hang with him, if not be only 2-3 cars back.

Yup...your traps indicate that you don't have enough power to outrun an R6. Don't worry about it though...neither does Chris.

Sorry but I have to agree with them. I would probably run him from a dig, at least the gears will give you a shot if he screws up.
Remember anything can happen on the street, good luck and don't f up anything otherwise you're definately his.

My car traps 125 and my buddies R6 when it was stock would walk me pretty hard from a roll. Now from a dig it's a different story! But who knows, give it a try!

There has to be somthing wrong b/c with that kind of power you should be able to smoke him. Thats what i should be trapping with my new cam and with my old cam i walk 600's pretty bad.

Well like he said he's got him from a dig .... but it's an auto, even with a bunch of power auto and roll just dont mix very well. R6 has much better gearing for a highway roll then a a4 ls1 does ... especially if he has gears.

my buddy'z 02 r6 bone stock wuz doin 11.1 @ 128, but that wuz with a 2.2 60ft, 1/8 mile wuz something like 98 mph, you will need at least a good shot of nitrous and slicks and take him from a dig, if its on the street and he cant handle the bike, you may get him, even if he really sucks, after 2nd gear he'll be WOT and gaining on you

I sorta figured that.. I really just would like to keep in his vicinity. I suppose it'll be an assraping, like 10-15 cars. I am running 275/40/17 Bfgs, think I stand a chance of keeping from killing me too much by lowerin the psi down and tryin to outlaunch him? I know he can't launch for ****.. So maybe if I outlaunch him, and if I can get a few cars on him, maybe by the time I get to 80ish he won't be able to walk me TOO hard... Good thing I got a 150 wet shot coming, unfortunately it'll be too late for this race.

I went over to his house, the bike is a 1997 YZF-600? My mistake... I raced him and heres how it went:

*race 1* 40mph roll, 2nd gear start.. kicked it, hit the rev limiter at 6600 going to 3rd, he pulls a 1/4 of a car.. hit the next gear, start to pull just a tad, hit the rev limiter again at 6600rpm going into 4th, he pulls another 1/4 car.. Total loss 1/2 car-1 car by 100. I hadn't raced the car in months, and stock tach was lagging pretty nicely.

*race 2* 1st gear roll 25mph, shifted to 2nd perfect, stayed even, shifted to 3rd at 6300 and he started to just barely inch away, through 3rd he started to get a slight pull on me, and I missed 4th with him half a car head.

It was shortly after this I realized why I missed the gear.. the car is makin a big thud, and the tranny is feeling really crappy in 3rd and 4th.. I think I busted the tranny mount It was a poly one too..

His mods are as included:
Yoshimura pipe, K&N's, and I think he jetted the carb?

We went from a roll and he was in the best gear.. He shifted at redline as we were already moving pretty quickly.. After I finish the tranny mount, I'm removing my rear seats, spare tire jack, and going back with no passenger.. Hes going down!! I'll make a video

Oh btw... when I kicked it in front of him to give him a sample... It spun at 20-30 or so and threw rubber off the BFGS onto his head.. Mostly because I keep them around 24psi at the street, so they tend to spin a little.
Hahahahaha.. I bet that looked downright mean hearing the beast roaring and rubber throwing out the rear.

R6s are badass for a 600, I got the chance to ride on one of my friends and they will run like a damn raped ape...get some dope and show him whats up. Good Luck
