Bingo! Your that Mustang sack-rider from Mustang Forums. I knew your screen name looked familiar.

OP, Nice kills! Nothing like putting a Ford or Mopar in your rearview.

Well I did some research on these cars and they are "CAPABLE" of making 450-500rwhp on 10+lbs of boost and 5-7lbs can bring mid to high 300rwhp numbers. That being said I'm sure he was on low boost making anywhere from 350-400rwhp range. Glad I found this out because it makes me feel way better about my victory

Yeah, cuz your average bolt-on/blown 2V GT makes 350-375rwhp... a decent-running 4v should be 400rwhp+

I'm a Mustang sack-rider? I beg to differ, and people on MustangForums would beg to differ also. A lot of them used to think that I was a GM nuthugger. I'm just a car enthusiest and realize what all cars can do. Sorry for knowing that a blown 4v should have no problem with an LS1 up top. I own an LS1 Fbody, so don't go calling me a Mustang sack-rider. I'd own an Fbody over about any Mustang, besides a Terminator. I've riden in more than a couple N/A 4v's and I know that I couldn't mess with them on the topend of things. I'm no sack-rider of any cars. I give props where props is due, to any car. The OP beat a blown 4v. Good kill. But, that's not the way it should've went down. Anything can happen in a race, and this is a prime example.

Good Kill OP but man you make me feel OLD with the "Older Guy in his 40's" statement LOL. Hell old, young middle age it's all good when racing. Have you ever been to the track? Just courious as to what times you run. I feel that I had a factory freak being that I was able to run 13.0 at 110 with just a lid and filter!!!!

Plus 1. Just because someone isn't a bowtie fanboy, doesn't mean they are a ford fanboy.

Good kills, but OP didn't you say you took off in your original post vs the Mustang? No 3 honks? The way I read it you took off and he stopped your pull.

Nice kills OP!

I use to own a Crystal White '98 Cobra with an old B-trim. Fun car just didn't have enough for me down low.

Long but I hope you guys enoy
Nice kill, he was definitely quoting his "estimated" crank hp. He wouldn't have lost (or by that much) if he was at 465rwhp.

That "i got 465" reminds me of a this guy from my old work who had a SRT8 300C and was talking about what a huge difference the 25 extra horses made over my car. I asked him to race and he said he would only do off a roll so we went off of a 30, i started in second gear and still pulled on him thru till about 100 when we shut down. He just drove off after wards and never brought it up lol
I doubt he started in 1st gear or let it downshift. Just saying he needs lessons, that's all.

he said he was in the uper 400 to lower 500 range at the wheels be he also said his car was very heavy.
he also had a set of mickeys on it so he was hooking decent.
I would say if he was supercharged and cutting 12.6s on DRs, he wasn't hooking that well. What were the trap speeds?

I agree, my nrother has a 96 with the stock 3.27s i believe and its a pig down low but once your rolling it pulls pretty good top end. I do hear 4.30 or even 4.56s make those cars roll out.

Yeah, 4.10s are the minimum with a 4v car.

How so? I know plenty of people with 6spd 4v that prefer 3.73s.

It's dependent upon tire height...or at least it should be.

Good kill! Nothing better than a couple clean runs at the old stoplight drags

I tend to agree with these.

Yea we didn't honk it off, I stayed next to him a bit waiting for him and he never hit it. So I went ahead and got the hit along with a 1 to 1 1/2 car lead ahead of him. I felt that with every shift he had I gained a bit. I really feel that my tires helped a WHOLE lot. Let me remind you guys that this guy spun the tires a LONG time before we even started the race. I'm sure he probably had some traction issues but I didn't see or hear it.
